Hi All

I am thinking of doing a Pregnancy massage course and baby massage instructor course.

I was wondering if anybody provided these treatments for their clients and if so do you feel it is something that is worth investing in.

I live in Gibraltar and at the moment they do not seem to be providing the baby massage through health visitors.

I look forward to your response.

Hi Kumari

It really is worthwhile ,I completed a course in Dec I now do more pregnancy and baby massage (1:1 or group class)than any other treatments. It is so rewarding knowing you can help relax and alleviate any discomfort caused through pregnancy. All my pregnant mums have been happy to get together with their new mum friends /antenatal groups combined with baby massage at their home. I also do 1:1 or classes. I really love it

If you are thinking of training in the UK I can recommend inspire massage workshops. I have done several courses with them and they are fab .The tutors are lovely and their knowledge and ongoing support afterwards is second to none.
Feel free to PM me if you have any more questions.

hope this helps

Hi Lily Belle

Thank you for your response. Will def. look into Inspire Massage Workshops.

Could you tell me how you organise your workshops and do you feel you get more ladies wanting to do the classes at home?

Thank you

Hi Kumari

It really is down to preference as my pregnancy clients mostly have been through referral(friends of each other).I have found most antenatal groups meet at each others houses or head to the local coffee shop after baby is born anyway( yes I was there too). They often want somewhere to head to for the morning/ afternoon to get out with baby for a few hours. So I would say generally they would like to go to a class.

I have been lucky enough to secure a lovely venue to rent privately so I am able to offer this as an option to a group of friends who may want to do this together.

I have done the following a one off class for 1 hour , or a course of three 1 hour classes, The course of three is most popular. Private groups: I have tailored to suit the group if they want two weeks thats what I give them . They have some notes and oil to take away and practise with too.
