Hi Guys,
I wondered if any of you have done the Hydrotherm pregnacny massage course. I've done the Hydrotherm Essentials training but in order to do the pregnancy course they insist that you do the advanced hydrotherm course first. I am wondering how different the techniques on the Advanced and Pregnancy courses are compared to the first one.
I can't help but think it's a ruse to make you pay for a course you don't really need. But I could be wrong.
I recently did a normal pregnancy massage course and apart from different postions, precautions/considerations to take because client is pregnant it was not much different from a normal massage.
RE: Hydrotherm Pregnancy massage training
Have you invested in their products? Water bags, heaters etc? Looks very interesting. Would you recommend the training so far?
RE: Hydrotherm Pregnancy massage training
The training so far was good. It's very easy on the hands and body once you get over the fact that the client's weight on your hands provides the pressure. I used to give the treatments at a spa where I worked previously. I'm aiming on buying the bags for my private practice soon. You don't need to invest in the heat pads unless you are aiming on keeping the bags set up on the table all the time. Without the heat pads the heat within the bag stays warm for most of one treatment. You just refill the bags with warm water for each treatment.
