I posted on here a few months back regarding setting up baby massage classes. I have gone ahead and started working on putting the project but when i was doing my reasearch for companies to buy the baby massage oil from i strted thinking. Should i have some kind of disclaimer or what ever it is for the parent to sign in case they or their child have a reaction to the oil and if they do can they sue me?What documents could i draw up to protect myself?
Thank you for your help in advance x
ask mums to bring their own oil if you are concerned.
otherwise ask them to do a skin patch test with your own.
organic cold pressed oils shouldn't cause too many problems but do check that the family have a nut allergy problem/history.
Thank you for your reply. Yes i have got that planned to do a patch test but i was wondering on implementing a patch test do i still need to get them to sign something in case they have a reaction from the patch test.
Just me panicking but thought someone may have experinced this or know how to put something into place to deal with it.
Thanks agian for your reply.
been doing baby massage since 1999 and never asked a parent to sign anything.
some babies have perhaps come up in a rash, am racking my brains and think off hand maybe 1 or 2......
some mums turn up with baby oil or perfumed products but I always offer them a bottle of natural oil.
