Hi all, I have been interested in the coloured strips the althletes have had on them during the olympics and have found out this is not new. They are called kinesiology tape for supprt, sprains, etc, now my question does anyone know if it could be used for medical conditions ie arthritis etc, in my opinion I wouldnt mind trying it 🙂

I've been using it for years, having been to the first course in the UK about 7 years ago. Recommend you check out kinesiotaping.co.uk - you will find a list of courses around the country.

Rock tape also do courses and from experience they are more user friendly, forward thinking and have a huge range of colours and patterns, KT tape also make the longest lasting, synthetic pro tape, nothing against kinesio uk just find them a bit less easy to deal with compared to the others, and I use the tape in my clinic on a daily basis, many clients ask for it

To agree with BGFL, I've had my best results with KT Tape - theres lots of different brands out there though (I have heard good things about Levotape) .

I have completed the Kinesio UK Course - my word of advice would be dont get tunnel vision with "Kinesio" Tape - Kinesio is the brand, so play around and find out what works best for you.
