I regularly treat a client with very tight trapezius muscles at the top of her shoulders. I do lots of frictions, hacking etc but they never seem to get any more supple! Does anyone have any ideas of how I can help her and vary the techniques I use? Thank you,

Was going to give suggestions for massage techniques ie petrissage, knuckling, neuromuscular pressures, but I just noticed that this is posted in an IHM thread. Maybe you can add some of these techniques in anyways?

need to find out why they're so tight - work / posture / driving position / sitting position/ sports / hobbies.
I find that using light touch pressure in amongst the IHM techniques can at times relax the muscles beautifully - with such little pressure.
Cheers
