I was wondering if anyone can recommend a forum specifically for hypnotherapists and or NLP and EFT where you can go and discuss techniques, issues ideas for using with clients etc.

Not that there's anything wrong with here of course but just looking for something bit more specific.

Hi FlowingFlower,

Sometimes this forum is quite and sometimes not so quite and if you have specific questions or queries then there's usually always someone around who is keeping an eye on the Mind Therapies forum to assist and answer or just discuss things.

I'm not sure of specific forums elsewhere for Hypno, NLP or EFT (you can get most of the help you need on EFT from the EFT website anyway ).

I'm sure a quick search of the internet will yield results and you will be able to tell how active those finds are by looking at the number of posts and how recently things have been posted.

Good luck with your search.

you might try the site of Calvin Banyan, he's american and has a forum. The sites he has are pretty good, google his name and you should get there.
I have just joined this site and I work as a hypno-analyst hypnotherapist so if I can help I will if you post here.
 good luck

Thanks for the info! I appreciate there are other hypnotherapist's post here, I was just looking to discuss different ways of working with clients. I guess this site just seems a little exposed? There's just so many members you never know who might find information! I just don't want to take the chance of a client ever finding information they shouldn't.

Sorry. No offence to anyone here. In an odd way it's a compliment cos this forum us so busy!!!

No offence taken, but if you don't want a client to see what you are posting then you will either have to find a secure and private forum or just not post the information on the internet in the first place.

Yeah I appreciate that. It was something kinda like that I was looking for, perhaps where only qualified therapists can join. I think I'm just making up that such a thing might exist actually!!! hehe!

For NLP

Honest Abes NLP Emporium for Info

Also I have found this forum very good I am blowing my own trumpet a bit but I know a fair bit about NLP, Hypnosis, Psychotherapy and I lecture in the subjects.. So you could also start a thread here and see what answers you get..

On NLP connections they list practice groups maybe that would be a good place to go and ask questions see someone face to face and keep client confidentiality as well.

For EFT forums you could try the one affiliated to Gary Criag's emofree.com site: .

Gary's made it clear that he is not responsible for the content of those forums, but has made the resource available for discussion on many issues, including addictions, abundance, chronic disesases and even a practitioners' forum. It's moderated by EFT practitioners from around the world including our very own Suzanne Zacharias.

Hi,

You could try the Hypnotherapist Register. They have an e-group in Yahoo groups and as far as I know, only therapists may join. It is moderated well and there are a lot of well-known names on there. We generally get anywhere between 3 and 20 e-mails (including replies) a day and you can opt for a 'digest' version so it doesn't clog up your inbox. People post questions about their clients (maintaining confidentiality) or about the business side and there are often special offers for training events, etc.

Go to for the e-group.

Also, feel free to PM me if you'd like a one-to-one hypno-buddy :038:

That's great thanks!!! There's been some great suggestions and I'll wade through them and see how I get on. It's just so nice to have people to bounce ideas off of!:)

And thanks Catherine, a hypno buddy sounds like a great idea!
