Hello! Has anyone ever used hot stones during a reiki session - placing the stones over the chakras? I am thinking of doing that and was wondering if anyone has tried it, and if so - was it successful?!! xx:):):)

Hi
Reiki Stone Healing info

Reiki Stone Healing

This therapy uses the ancient art of Reiki, energy healing, combined with Hot Stone Therapy. Reiki attuned, warm stones are laid under and on the body, following the charka system, this sequence anchors the root charka, which grounds the body and melts away stress and tension. The therapist then continues to use hands on Reiki Therapy to heal, and melts away stress and tension. Reiki is an ancient form of healing that uses universal energy channelled through practitioner’s hands, to restores health, stimulate the immune system and open emotional blocks. Reiki Stone Healing will relive stress and balance the energy centres of the body.

Yes it works great (so I have been told)

Sorry, I assume most people when they say Reiki are referring to the Usui System of Reiki. Usui discovered/rediscovered/became empowered with-ed/select-your-own-phrase Reiki less than a century ago. Whatever he tapped into is ancient, if you want to put a time frame on it, but it has been tapped into by many different individuals under many different names, with many different belief systems attached to it, it's not exclusively reiki, or at least I don't consider it exclusively reiki, it may be rei ki, but not reiki.

Sounds really good! Healistic - can one attune the stones by empowering them with Reiki or is there a particular way to do it?

I use the two therapies together, and always get excellent feed back from my clients. 🙂

Hi Wind wisperer - I have now started doing this too! It is not unusual for a client to fall asleep when I am doing this!

I don't use hot stones in my reiki (yet....) but I do use Reiki in my hot stone treatments and I find my clients relax into it much easier and much deeper 😀

Do you inform your clients that you are performing Reiki on them when you do hot stones?

If not you should.

You can use clean stones on top of clothing, it's just the same as using stones on a sheet. You must be careful that they are not wearing synthetic clothing, only natural fibres where you place the stones directly, synthetics can feel hotter.
As Healistic said, you wouldn't want to do it with oily stones. It's very much like using crystals in a reiki treatment, you wouldn't use oily crystals.

I've been in a few hot stones classes where you get covered in hot stones, the LaStone version is called Castle Building
Castle Building:
Sometimes simplicity is what is called for. This gently relaxing, oil-free treatment uses the medium of stones to envelop the body, encouraging the release of blocked energy channels and promoting wellbeing for the mind, body and soul. from
add reiki to that 🙂 bliss

I've been wanting to try combining the two for ages but still haven't got round to it. I do occasionally cleanse and empower the stones with Reiki. This post has inspired me to get experimenting!
