Hello Supermummy,

Is this deal from 'best massage couches' website?
I got my stones and heater from there. I brought the large heater as it said i would need this for the large set of stones but its massive, If i had of known i would have got the smaller one!

No this isn't from best massage couches (i've just looked at that site - its got some great cheap couch covers). It is from another site I have come across, I am happy to PM people with the details.

Hot Stones

Hi Supermummy

I take courses in hot stone therapy and have recently bought the large and the small set. The smaller set is best as the large one is absolutely huge. The large stone set is great as it includes a good range of stones. As they are boxed it is also a bonus.

Anjimel,

I haven't done my course yet, but have enrolled. I hope to be offering full hot stone treatments as well as facial or back treatments.

What size set would you recommend for this?

I would recommend the smaller heater and maybe the larger box of stones as this gives a good variety. You will need about 6 placement stones for the back, these stones are large and do not come with the smaller box of stones.

Hope this helps.

I bought a large set from Ebay a couple of weeks ago, they are doing the job just fine, the price is about the same as you have paid, perhaps a little more. The box is pretty sturdy so I am pleased overall, some sets of stones are extortionate and others, well I've seen some and it looks like someones been to Blackpool and spend 5 minutes collecting them, very poor quality.

Hi there... I've just taken my ITEC exam in Hot Stone Therapy and would love to get my own set - the prices in Ireland are far more expensive, so I'd be really grateful if you could PM the details for the set that you've found...
Many thanks

I've just bought a set of 36 hand shaped basalt stones for £34.99 , they come boxed but the box was broken - the carrier had dropped it but the stones were ok. (the 45 pc is £44.99)
The same web site has heaters which look to be the same make as those on other web sites and they are £64.99 &£44.99. but I can't afford those yet!

They also have 3 section couches and back massage chairs.
It's not a therapy site - just general products

link to masage tables chairs and hot stones

Hi all

just noticed this thread

I have bough things from them and they are very good

they are fine for people doing occasional treatments but if you are doing it all day every day then might be worth paying for high end products

eg hot stones 64 piece £60
6 qt heater £50
free delivery

masage tables from £ 70

I keep watching the site as they often have deals eg I got my second lightweight portable table for £50 including carry case/ cover and side xtensions

tvdeals

Has anyone ordered the hot stones & heater from tvdeals and know how long they take to deliver? I've ordered them on the 13th August and sent them two emails asking how long, but they don't seem keen on replying :(. They advertise 5-7 days but also that some orders can take 28 days. I don't mind waiting, but getting worried when they don't reply to my emails.

stones

did you get them yet? i am interested in ordering from this site, if they are reliable and what you see is what you get in terms of the heaters

by the way i learnt hot stones in thailand from a lady who was from hawaii and helping out at a massage school in thanks to the school for teaching her thai massage i think, and she told me to find my own stones, preferably from my local area and then leave them under the sun or moon to gather energy ... i personally think buying stones is a bit expensive ... of course it helps it you live under a volcano with lots of volcanic rocks, but we were using rocks from the mekong river in thailand and they were fine .. I was down by the sea last night and im going to pay some visits to a local lake until i have all the stones i need

thanks

PS if someone got a reply about where this cheap deal came from at the start of the thread can they PM me as I didnt get a reply .. thanks

tvdeals

STILL waiting for delivery - they took the money out imediately, then after I'd sent them two emails, I finally received a reply saying they would be delivered within 21 days - which I wasn't sure whether that was from the date I ordered them, tho obviously it wasn't, or from that email. They should be here by the 15th this month, but my order tracking still shows "processing" :(. Not looking good so if anyone knows anywhere else with a good deal I'd be very gratefull for the advice.

I know other people are saying they are a good company, but personally I'll be avoiding buying anything else from them. I'll let you know if they ever arrive.

waiting

Yeah I hate waiting for stuff myself so I know how you feel ,I always pay extra for next day if i can just so I get the stuff, these tv deal folk are £30 cheaper than anyone else so I guess the slowish delivery is the price of that ...

i also think its a bit cheeky to take the money first, often I have the goods in my hand before they have my money, such was the case with the massage bed i ordered from tao of books

hope it arrives soon for you !!!

given up waiting

It's now well past delivery time and still no sign of my stones & heater so asked for my money back. Now keeping fingers crossed. Needless to say I'll not be attempting to buy from tvdeals again:(. Companies should state on their site if a product is out of stock. Now I just hope I get my money back.

I still need a set of stones and heater if anyone knows of a good place to get them.

I hope this saves anyone making the same mistake and trying to order them from tvdeals. The price might be excellent - the product's just not there.

Kev.
