HI there and hope all is well,
I have a bit of a puzzler i am struggling with and wonder if anyone can assist me

1) If someone was suffering from an acute, feverish illness with a throbbing headache, which modalities could help you differentiate between the appropriateness of aconite and belladonna?

what i said was but im sure i need to pick only specific modalities and im also wonder wither aconite was a better option?

w

I would have said that my choice would be belladonna and the modalities for that are worse for being touched, being caught in a draught, or exposed to noise. Better for sitting up and being in a warm room.

My other area i need help is

1) Which law do the remedies aconite and belladonna confirm?
what i said was.........is that the right thing i said?

Hahnemann's Law of Similars

thanks to anyone in advance that might be able to help 🙂

Hi vmaxchick,

Your questions sounds like you need the advice of a qualified homeopath. Bearing in mind it's the weekend you may need to wait a few more days till such a qualified person comes along with an answer for you. It's not that your question has gone unnoticed, just that if people don't have an answer, they tend not to reply.

😉

Hi- I'm not altogether sure of your question and with some of the vocabulary you're using, I'm guessing that you're either answering an 'academic' question or you have a fair bit of homeopathic knowledge anyway, so you may well be on the right tracks.
I could go an and on, but basically, the fundamental difference between aconite and belladonna is that the first will display great fear with any condition and the latter less so.
Aconite will be panicky, restless, anxious or fearful, if extreme may feel he's dying. It may follow a shock or exposure to cold windy conditions. There may be great thirst. Belladonna is likely to be thirstless, hot, very flushed, in extremes, delirious, hallucinating or with great imagination. There is a sense of great violence to the condition, great heat may radiate from the body, the headache will be severe pounding, worse for light, noise, touch, often on the right side. Both remedy states will come on suddenly.

Hi- don't despair- it always seems a bit confusing at first! And your question(s) aren't as silly as you might think. With the information of an acute fever, and throbbing headache, it would be impossible to choose a remedy. However, if you add in the modalities that you mention, worse for touch, draught, and noise, it's probably more likely to be Belladonna than Aconite. But ideally, you'd need even more information.
If you are doing a course that's anything other than for acute 'first aid' situations, I'd expect you to be working with a repertory. Using this, you'd look up all the 'symptoms' including the modalities, and cross reference them to see which remedies are covered by all the symptoms- and then choose one. Or, you can use a homeopathy computer programme to save time as it's a long drawn out process.
If someone was acutely ill and you didn't know whether to give them Bell. or Acon. you'd choose one, and if there was no response, you'd simply give the other. When illness is sudden and acute, you'd expect a quick response/change after the remedy so it'd become clear as time passed which remedy to use.
If you're just learning the basics, you can find quite a lot of stuff online that might help you. HTH Hom

Hi- no need to apologise- but you may find that having some homeopathic treatment for yourself could really help....
The software available is very expensive- upward of £1000 or so- usually including many homeopathic 'books' and other information and requires in depth knowledge of homeopathy before you can use it to best advantage so may not be helpful to you at this stage. However, if you're browsing online you could search for 'Isis Vision' for example, to get an idea..
