Ok guys, can anyone help me here?? My cat has a flea allergy and I want to give him a homeopathic remedy rather than send to the vets for an injection that contains all sorts of things which can have side effects. I am under the impression that urtica may help, but i am not 100 percent sure...so can anyone point me in the right direction? thanx...Sunyvemoon
RE: homeopathy for cats
Hi Sunyvemoon, I use flower and gem essences on my two cats. I have a flea remedy which is 100% natural and keeps those fleas away and doesn't harm the energy field of the animal.
Let me know if you are interested.

RE: homeopathy for cats
Sulphur is what we use for getting rid of fleas on our dog so I don't see why it would be different for a cat - I think it works as a repellant, but it works! We put a couple of tablets in her water and repeat only when we change the water every 2 days, but not when we top it up. (We use spring water not tap - don't know if the chemicals in tap water would affect the homeopathic remedy). We also put essentall oils on her collar - tea tree, lavender and lemon.

Rosi what gem essences do you use please?
RE: homeopathy for cats
Hi Rosi1, What flower and gem essences do you use? I have 6 Cats and 2 Dogs and would also be interested in the flea remedy. Thank You, Deard
RE: homeopathy for cats
Hi Sunyvemoon, I have 6 Cats and 2 Dogs and like Daydreamer I also put Sulpher in their water bowls and it works for them all. Deard
RE: homeopathy for cats
Hi Deard and Daydreamer, I use the Alaskan essences. The remedy I have made up consists of some flowers, some gems and a couple of environmental essences - all from the Alaskan kit.
It is a precise remedy, specifically to treat fleas and works by strengthening the animals energy field, so no flea wants to land on them! You only need to apply the drops once a month.
I also have a remedy for worms.

Hi Again Rosi1, Do you sell these yourself or do you buy them online? Could you point me in the right direction to buy some please. Deard
RE: homeopathy for cats
Hi Deard, I will email you offline.
Kind regards

RE: homeopathy for cats
forgot to mention time - I give the sulphur for about 5 - 7 days only, not all the time! For a cat it may be more often, Deard how do you do yours?
Thanks Rosi
RE: homeopathy for cats
Hi Rosi1, Look forward to hearing from you. Thanks Deard
RE: homeopathy for cats
Hi Daydreamer, I only started using the Sulpher about 2 months ago, I just drop one Sulpher tablet in their water bowls every couple of days.
I have Don Hamilton's book "Homeopathic Care for Cats and Dogs" and he says Quote There is littlehomeopathy has to offer for flea control other than constitutional treatment to improve health and resistance to fleas. Pulex irritans is a remedy made from the human flea and some feel it can improve resistance. Sulpher is the remedy most often associated with flea infestation. Unquote
He also suggests a spray made of 30C Sulpher in water will repel fleas although he has not tried this.
Also Quote Ledum palustre is the big remedy for insect bites and puncture wounds and thus is recommended by some for the reaction to the flea bite. Caladium is a remedy for insect bites that sting and burn execessively. It may help some animals who are especially sensitive to flea bites. Unquote
Can anyone recommend any other easy to read Homeopathic books?
I also read somewhere to give one Sulpher tab weekly to each animal.
Hope some of this helps. Regards, Deard
RE: homeopathy for cats
Gawd I have so many homeopathic books, my most used one is my Materia Medica which is Boericke's version. A good animal one is George McLeod's 'Veterinary Materia Medica', (also The Treatment of Horses with Homeopathy by the same author - if you have a horse!!)
I find the best way to treat for the flea thing is to give remedies for a week then break for 3.
Hypericum tincture is fantastic for taking the itch out of gnat/flea etc bites so may work well for cats too, but again that would have to be in spray form unless they have a particular area that gets them most.
