Can you take ACV if you are also taking remedies? Sure I read somewhere you couldn't have vinegar as it antidotes a homeopathic remedy. Anyone help?
By my limited knowledge of homeopathy, I believe that you should avoid any foodstuffs and/or strong flavours within 20 minutes or so of taking a homeopathic remedy, not just apple cider vinegar. I don't think you have to permanently avoid things though.

Hi Janet
Are you seeing a homeopath if so follow the advice given by your homeopath. I don't know about ACV, but have heard that caffeine should be avoided - also as an aromatherapist if a client was taking homeopathic remedies I generally steered clear of Peppermint and Eucalyptus EO's.

Hi-There is no reason at all that I'm aware of, why you shouldn't have the vinegar. Some homeopaths advise refraining from coffee and mint, but I've never heard of the vinegar thing! It might be interesting to see what your own homeopath thinks! HTH Hom
thanks - yes I'm seeing a homeopath so I'll ask - it's just I'm sure I once read if you wanted to antidote a remedy take vinegar in water and keep drinking it.
Yuk! Haven't heard of it but there are many bits of info about remedies that crop up and it's hard to know if there's any truth in them!
Black coffee's the most common one for antidoting but then when I've taken a remedy alongside black coffee before and I'm sure it's still worked, I wonder! Hom
I can still drink coffee and not have it effect my remedy - if I want to antidote then I'd have to have really strong black coffee and lots of it - for me sniffing olbas oil every few minutes is a sure way to antidote any remedy I'm aggravating on.
