Vibrational / Flower Essences

Hi Alun, All essences when they are first made are made with a 50% alcohol content, this is known as the Mother Essence. Other forms of preservative don't last as long as alcohol so therefore your Mother Essence wouldn't last.

You then dilute the Mother Essence to 'stock' level which is what is found in shops, and if you want to make a dosage bottle, you put some drops from the stock bottle, then fill the rest with water and a non-alcoholic preservative, either vegatable glycerine or cider vinegar.

I am currently helping an alcoholic also, and sent him an essence from my Mother Essence, which did have alcohol, however only 10 drops of the original essence went into his dosage bottle, the rest was water and vegetable glycerine. So, the alcohol content is negligible and would have no bearing on the fact he is an alcoholic.

Thanks for that. Yes I know how Mother essences and stock essences are made as I've been working with them for quite a few years now.

One thing I was thinking of doing was to put the essence to water and put it in an atomiser or misting spray.....

I make vibrational essences myself using just water and I keep them in the fridge to keep them fresher for longer. I hadn't heard of using vegetable glycerin before - so thanks for that. Do you recommend a good place to obtain that?

Using flower essences topically

Hi Alun

You can use vegetable glycerine as suggested - I buy mine from or from the International Flower Essence Repertoire in Gigha.

Another idea is to treat your client using flower essences topically in a body lotion or cream. Applying flower essences in this way to the largest organ of the body is a powerful way to clear patterns/release shock and trauma and allow new light and colour to enter.

Misting is also an excellent idea - in my opinion this is idea for anyone who is very sensitive. A great place to start.

You can also use essences on acupuncture points - Deborah Craydon has written an excellent book called Floral Acupuncture using the Bach Healing Herbs essences on acu points.

I tend to keep mine for 3 months in the fridge. I make stocks from the mothers and keep them for the same time too so I guess, one essence will last me about 6 months. Given that I make them at home and allow the earth to put the vibration in them that's necessary they're relatively easy to make and don't take long to produce - about 24 hours.

The problem with putting them in the bath is that it's the temptation of having the essences with alcohol in the house - he's tried this before and almost ended up drinking one. Fortunately he stopped himself last minute and chucked it down the drain. We're working with EFT to reduce that but alcoholism can be deep seated.

I think I'll make him one up with vegetable glycerin and he can use that either in the bath, or internally, or in a mister.... the few drops of essence with alcohol that will be in it will be almost negligable I think.....

Do you have some Amethyst Essence Alun? Works wonders for cravings, including alcoholism, and is known as the 'alcoholism crystal' as I'm sure you know. That's what I've given the person who is an alcoholic that I've been helping. 3 drops under the tongue, 3 times a day.

I can vouch for its effectiveness as I'm also taking it for chocolate cravings, haven't had a bar of chocolate in over 3 weeks:)

I agree, the few drops of alcohol will not have any effect, once you've added the water and the the glycerine.

I've made lots of Amethyst mother essence, you're more than welcome to a bottle of stock essence.

Hi Alun, Yes pm me your details and I'll make you a stock bottle - it will have alcohol though so that it will last you for ages, I use 30ml bottles.

You can then dilute it for the person you're helping with the vegetable glycerine and make them a dosage bottle.
