It is my understanding that the central bagua should be left as a clear space, and has an impact on all areas, particularly the health and regarded as the earth area.

Taking the whole of my home as a template, the centre is the corner turn of my hallway, and along the hall I have a huge pine cabinet, with glass doors, on top , drawers and cupboard doors on bottom piece.

I love it, do not want to apart with it and have nowhere else to put it. So I have decided to "cure" it, and the area it is in. As it had become a bit of a dumping ground for "stuff" I thought the best thing I could do was to clear out and place all objects that I consider harmonious to good health..

On the shelves I have placed my healthy recipe books, crystal books, and books that I really love. I have some native indian art books that I have placed face forward, so I can see the artwork of the covers. In the middle I have put a book entitled complete good health, on a book stand (which has a design almost like one of the reiki symbols).

Along the shelves are scattered rose quartz crystals. On a door handle is a window quartz cystal, and on another an aromatherapy pomander bag. I have placed beautiful red rugs, soft lighting, and a gorgeous picture of 2 adorable pandas at the end wall.

It is now one of the nicest spaces in the house.....and am hoping it brings in some health luck. 🙂

Fleur,

Have been reading your Feng Shui posts with interest, particularly the gardening ones. Your "space" sounds lovely now and I wish you lots of happy health with it. It's good to have a declutter, cabinets and drawers are an easy space to dump stuff in and leave for a long time!

Love Rachel

I think you done the right thing there Fleur. If there is something that is in the wrong place and can't be moved. Then the best thing to do is to disguise it, which you have done. Sounds like you've done a really good job.

Hi Fleur,

You have done right to clear the clutter from this area as this area is about feeling balanced and well physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

The central point of the 3 door gate bagua is the Tai Chi, which is related to health and wellbeing. As this is the earth element you want to enhance with earthy (crystals, pictures of natural scenes - mountain, lake etc.) objects and colours (peach, terracotta, yellow). As Fire nourishes earth, you can also put a few fire items in this area (eg. red/orange candles), but be careful with fire items if you are already over stressed.

Hi Open waves,

thankyou for your interest.

I am unable to put actual candles there...but I have put a table lamp by the side and enhanced with the red rug. 🙂

I do have a very nice scenic picture, but its a snow scene with a beautiful peachy rising golden sunrise. I would put that up but it would be opposite the glass doors of the unit, and a bit concerned of the effects of 2 glass/mirrors opposite each other. The picture hasn't graced a wall for some time as I cannot find a place for it but I do love it. It was created by a former art teacher of mine.

As you mention pictures of natural scenes, I just might open those native books to a nice scenery and have those on show behind the glass doors. 🙂

Whats the three door gate bagua Marina?..never heard of that..

The central bagua in my house (temporary rental, so cannot make changes), is the one & only storage cupboard in the whole place. It's small here & I have 4 children & a small kitchen, so this cupboard is stuffed with kitchen things, vacuum, brush, mop bucket, DIY box, basically all essential, but from what I've read on here, not good to have in a central place.

What would you suggest, other than keeping it tidy in there!

Hi Jay-
I was taught 'if it's not broken- don't fix it'. What you need to look at is how things are in your lives right now- maybe the frenetic energy created in your central sector is just what you NEED!

Thanks for that amorillum. I can safely say that something is broken & does need fixing!
Having split up with husb a short while ago, moved areas & house (temporary until old house sells), children's behaviour is very difficult (understandably), need to boost my lack of energy & enthusiasm, career prospects, helpful friends, financial prosperity AND love interests, I definitely need to fix something!!!!
I could do with a whole forum devoted to me! 😎

I think the first thing I need to do is to finally finish all unpacking & find a home or get rid of the excess clutter that is lying around making me feel drained.

Sorry fleur 😮 for hijacking your central bagua thread, and offloading on it!! I'm having lots of these 'aha' moments, as i'm trying to make things right. I will trust my intuition & give that cupboard a darn good clearing!

No need to apologise Jay. 🙂

My central bagua area isn't an empty space either, I am making the best of it.

It isn't realistic to live in an octagon shaped house, with all the areas perfectly aligned with feng shui areas is it:)

I believe that space clearing is about keeping those things that you either love, find useful, or have positive feelings attached. Anything else has to go. You don't wanna know what's in my clothes bags in my wardrobes....nor how long:o, so its a work in progress for me too 😀

We can make the environmental changes to align with FS but there is also the heaven (karma) and human luck that comes into the mix as well.

Goodness, don't be sorry, Amorillum!! I like the hug though, thanks!! Not enough hugs given out in this world.
I am a believer that everything happens for a reason. I have put myself in this position, and happily at that! The current chaos is temporary & is leading me to better things. Life can become stagnant without change, and sometimes there needs to be a catalyst to make us make the first move.

You said: maybe the frenetic energy created in your central sector is just what you NEED! I think you have a good point there. It has been useful, but now it needs to change & settle down a bit more.
I think the main concern for me is keeping my children happy. I'll make a separate thread for that!!
