Hi- I've looked down the last few threads...but apologies if this has been discussed recently. I don't know much about Feng Shui but I sleep in a room where the shape means I have no choice regarding placing of furniture. However, I have trouble sleeping in there, in contrast to another room in the house where I sleep soundly. In my own bedroom, I rarely feel relaxed whereas in the other room (that unfortunately I can't move into permanently), I immediately feel peaceful. Is there anything I can do-maybe add anything to the room, use colours etc? There is one problem- I have an electric socket with a lamp and phone plugged in to it, right by my head and I'm sure this contributes to the problem but I don't think they can be moved. Any suggestions would be helpful! Thanks. Hom
Hi Hom,
I hope you are well. Ive only touched on feng shui..when i was redoing my daughters room recently....but i was told about not facing the bed so the feet are sticking out towards the door(if you know what i mean)..its called the death...something or other.?? Also yes electric sockets could mess things up..try placing crystals..(amethyst)...you could also place rose quartz beside your bed. Make sure there isnt any clutter under the bed..as that can contribute as awell.
Good luck
Rachelx
Hi Hom,
Just a suggestion....... colour of the walls? what colour is the other room painted.
Ventilation. if the room is bigger, then you may be getting more oxygen in the night
a smaller room will get stuffy. Bedding. is the bedding heavier or lighter. The pillow.
think of all the other comparisons in the room. It could be something really simple.
because of the electric power point by your head, i would put flourite under your pillow. This will also help you sleep peacefully.
As for bedroom colours. Try pale green, a throw perhaps. And no clutter. !!!
During the day try burning an incense stick with the intention that you remove all negative energy in the room. The more often you do this the stronger the effect will be. Soon you will have a haven of peace and tranquility. This really works.
hope this helps.

Hi thanks for the above. I'm well thanks Rachel- hope you are too.I will read the link this weekend- it looks quite informative. Amethyst and rose quartz are never far away and I will look into the flourite.
I think the bed's in a reasonable position(just as well cos I can't move it!) and I don't really have much clutter- although it feels it.
Perhaps the decor's a lot to do with it (not my choice). It's very busy and vibrant and Ive put off changing it but I think I'd better get the paintbrush out!
I like the idea of the a greenish throw on the bed. It's not my favourite colour but a muted shade would be ok andI can see that it would be more restful.
There's something else fundamental, about the room though that I can't put my finger on- perhaps it's facing the wrong way (east) but bar moving, I can't really change that!
Thanks for the suggestions. Hom
Hi Hom,
There is a possibility that you may have geopathic stress or microwaves in your bedroom. A Feng Shui Consultant would be able to take readings in your bedroom and the rest of your home. Do you have a DECT phone or clock radio near your bed?
Another consideration is the direction of the bed. Using Ming Gua, there are East and West Life people and if you are not sleeping towards one of your good positions, this could be affecting your sleep.
When I am assessing bed positions, there are 5 different areas that I need to take into consideration before advising a client to move their bed position. Without seeing your house plans, it is difficult to access.

Hi Marina, thanks for the reply. Your comments and website are really interesting. I am thinking about obtaining some professional assessment before starting the painting! Hom
Hi Hom,
Where about's do you live? I would be happy to carry out a Consultation for you. As it mentions on the website, there is a home consultation which includes Geopathic Stress, Electromagnetic Fields and Microwaves or the "Healthy Home Check" which only covers the above.
Hi Hom,
Can you unplug the electrical items you mentioned at night just to see if they are causing the problem?
If you opt for a professional consultation try to find a practitioner who can tell you what impact sleeping in that room could have on your life. i.e. what challenges it will bring you and when. Will your health be impacted? Will it affect your career? How will these issues manifest? When could they manifest?
There are many strands of Feng Shui... some of these enable the practitioner to carry out a very detailed analysis of the house so that your living space can be aligned to your desired aspirations.
Best Regards.
Hi Hom /PBR,
This is what I do in a consultation. I will measure and test the rooms, making suggestions as well as looking at long term solutions.
I also analyse the bed position as to Geopathic Stress, Form School Feng Shui, Electromagnetic Fields and Ming Gua. All these services are a few of the services provided within a home consultation.
You will also receive a full report after the consultation with 3 months post email support.
