Does anyone know where I can buy a map for Feng Shui?

There are three main Feng Shui schools - The Compass School, the Black Hat School and the Form School.

The Compass School works with a compass called the luopan. It's quite complicated and although there are Feng Shui compass apps available, none of them are very reliable.

The Black Hat School works with a bagua grid and is the easiest method for a beginner to learn. Just google 'Feng Shui bagua' and click on images.

Whichever system you use, you will also need to apply the principles of the Form School. There is no 'map' for this - you will need to do some studying.

Hope this reply is helpful.

Hi Karen,

Thanks for getting back to me. Either way looks like I'm going to have to do a bit of studying aren't I? It was the bagua grid I was talking about, I've seen the images on google and told to print out and use transparecny paper etc but I just wondered if there was somewhere that sold them ready so I could use. Would be nice if I could afford a consultant, that said might be nice and interesting to learn a little myself.

Love & light,

Jo

Hi Jo

You really don't need a transparent grid to use the bagua system.

The best do-it-yourself book on this method is 'Feng Shui Made Easy' by William Spear.

Or find someone who works in similar ways but with the energies as they present in the
U.K. rather than China? A geomancer or a shamanic practitioner.

Oh had never heard of these? Could you please explain?

Thanks!

Geomancy is 'earth magic'. I'm sorry, but I have no idea how you would find one.
A shaman/shamanic practitioner would work with the spirits - both his/her own spirit friends and the spirit of the flat, to balance the elements in the flat and to sort out any problems.
Where is your flat? I might know of someone near to you.
