My daughter has been out of work now for at least a year although she is attending college part time for a second Master's degree. She is well qualified and spends her days filling out job applications but with no luck whatsoever. Is there anything she can do in the arrangement of her flat to keep money and success from flying out the door? Can anyone give me a few simple tips? Thanks:):)
Hi Lulu
Sorry to hear about your daughter's problems. Have you seen Carol Look's website on attracting abundance with EFT - that is Emotional Freedom Technique? The main website for EFT is and once you have had a look at the manual and know what to do, a practitioner can help you over the phone.
Best of luck - and start tapping!!!!
Love and Light

Hi Lulu52,
The good fortune/wealth area is the Far left corner when you enter the flat using the 3 Door gate Bagua. If you use Compass method it will be the South East area of the home. Add green and wooden items including upright healthy plants to this area. Try not to have too much metal, white, red items in this area as this will weaken it.
Hi Lulu52,
Also look at the area immediately as you come in the front door or the North of the flat. Make sure there are is no clutter in this area. Add blue/black and water to this area, avoiding wooden, green objects.
Hi Lulu
Considering the date of your post I hope your query has been resolved, but the information of my post might still be useful.
I do not wish to be disrespectful of other practioner here, but just to develop some points.
The 3 doors gate baGua is from the black hat sect, that is not part of any traditional Feng Shui teaching but a modern-day invention disregarding the energy of the directions.
There is no "compass school" in classical Feng Shui, but several traditional schools that uses techniques and measurents based on compass readings. The 8 mansions/Ba Zhai is the most widely used in western countries.
As for the bad luck struck by your daughter it could have come from:
-her personal chart and cycle of luck (BaZi/ 4 pillars). In chinese astrology we go under cycle of luck lasting 10 years, and the energy of the year clashes or combine with those cycles
-some problems with her flat: wrong bedroom or bed direction, kitchen and stove placement exposing her to money loss, Qi intake and internal water cycle spoiled, wrong type of elements received through the flat for her chart etc. No diagnosis can be made at a distance, only a look at the chart and the living place of a person can provide explanations, and solutions.
Hope that helps.
Respectfully, CarolineN
The main website for EFT is where you can use their search engine for articles and download the manual for free.
That's now because Gary retired and the whole lot has been moved.
You can find practitioners near you in UK on and once you have had a look at the manual and know what to do, a practitioner can help you over the phone.
AAMET have moved their directory of practitioners to - and you can find a local practitioner there, too.
But yes, EFT will help ... and a litte Feng Shui wouldn't go astray. The best way to help with Feng Shui is to take a compass reading, both of the whole building and of the flat. Then the practitioner will make two charts, from which they will recommend cures.
Lulu52 - did your daughter always live in this flat? Did she have a sudden change of luck? What is her health like, generally?
The point is that with Feng Shui, we can't just recommend a cure without any information.

Well, now I'm embarrased. 😮
The original post was a year ago and I didn't read the date on it, just the fact that it was a new post. Duh!

I don't think you have any need to feel embarrassed, cordelion, and thank you for clarifying and updating regarding EFT.
However, it may not have been noticed previously that the OP was posted in the Feng Shui forum, so presumably that's what was being asked about.
A warm welcome to our new member Laurent, who has recently joined us ... and this thread 🙂
Holistic
thank you
Thank you Holistic. Even if those thread are quite old I think answering them, with the point of view of a practitioner, can still be useful to some people in the future.

As you see, I was addressing the OP's question too 🙂

This is my bathroom, so there are metal pipes.
I put a silk green plant at the base of my toilet because I read that this was a remedy to prevent money from being flushed away.
I read that wrapping a red ribbon around the pipes for toilet, shower and sink would prevent money from going down the drain, so I'm confused about no red in the bathroom.
I also read that a living green plant higher than the toilet is good luck. Not sure how that relates to the silk plant by the base of the toilet. I know that dried plants are bad luck.
I have a wooden cabinet and shelves, painted white, in the bathroom as well.
The tiles on the shower wall are pink and the floor is white ceramic tile. Can't change that.
There is a window, which should be good, right?
As for the walls of the bathroom, they are white and I cannot change them because I rent.
So I need any possible remedies because I am bloody poor and sick of it! Too poor to move to a place with better feng shui! 🙁
Feng Shui and Money
Hi Lulu52
I am not entirely certain this post is still live, however there are some recent dates in the discussion, so here goes! I hope this is useful for you.
It saddens me a little to hear of people getting so confused by Feng Shui books and from 12 years of investigation into this subject I can tell you that nothing is straightforward. As Open Waves points out the (very general) wealth area is in the SE and as Space Essential pointed out to best help your situation it is really useful to have a Ba Zi horoscope carried out.
From my perspective, the general career area for 2010 is in the North and can be boosted with 4 'lucky bamboo' plants in clear glass vase with water (usually easy to find these cheaply at IKEA), but you would need to make sure the North area is not cluttered before you put in the bamboo.
Feng Shui only accounts for approx 30% of our luck and the rest is our Human Luck and Heaven Luck.
Kind regards
Master Sarah McAllister
I reread my Jayme Barrett Feng Shui book and got inspired again. On Friday, I bought a money plant for my bathroom and one for the money corner of my office. The next day I won a charity raffle!
Today I just bought an African violet for the love corner of my office, so we shall see if the man I am meant to be happily married to in this life manifests soon. I am generally terrible with plants so fingers crossed these remedies keep growing!
Hi Lulu!
Sorry about your daughters problem. How is she now? Any luck now?

I’m skeptical about Feng Shui, and not usually believe in this kind of subject, but it makes me interested to try it, after all there’s no harm in trying. 🙂
Aw, sorry for digging up this thread, I didn’t notice the date, my bad. 🙁
