Hiya

I was wondering if you guys had some tips for me for using feng shui. I live with parents but my bedroom is my own space. My window is on the north wall, as in when looking out of it you are facing north, and if you stand in my door looking into the room, you would be facing west.

Firstly I would like to manifest some romance in my life, so which corner do I place items and what would be good items to use here.

Secondly My job at the moment isn't aligned to what I want to do as a career so again which corner do I use, and which items do I use to attract my ideal job?

Thanx very much for your help

Alan 🙂

Hello The Magician.

Romance/Marriage is the South West area.

You need things in pairs, and its the earth element. Supported by fire.

So a pair of pink rose quartz crystals would be great.
A pair of pink candles, or tee lights in pink, red or white ceramic holders.
Picture of a romantic couple (or anything that resonates as a pair for you), in a pottery/ceramic square frame.

Just remember less is more, don't overdo it, and set your intention as you place your objects.

The North is the career area.

You need flowing water, blue or black colours. Any chance you could put a small water fountain on the window ledge.
If not try a blue or glass bowl and change the water every day.
The best shape is wavy lines....perhaps one of those blacky wavy photo frames, or silver metal frame (metal supports water) with a postcard of a flowing river.
Would be even better if you could take a photo of a beautiful scenic river yourself, and place it there. Then You would instrument in bringing the outside.....in.

I like to use the actual element when ever I can, but it's not always possible.

Hi The Magician
Feng Shui can get very complicated. I am certainly no expert, and have not done the years of training that some people do, it's just as an interest for me. But I do find it a useful and helpful tool when we direct and change our surrounding environment to support our aims in life.

There are a few different schools of feng shui it seems, and I think many would not approve of placing simple objects without going deeper into it but I believe we take what we need and leave the rest.

I like to use an intuitive approach :). If there are no changes taking place after our efforts .....then we can try something else, nothing ventured nothing gained I say.

Hi Alan-
I think what you really need to look at before starting with 'cures' is the EXISTING energy in your bedroom. How do you FEEL in your room? Relaxed, confident, insecure, nervous.... be honest with yourself here- you need to make this small space work hard for you. Secondly, it would help if you could describe it in a little more detail too in terms of furniture, colours, size etc...

Hiya Leigh

I feel quite relaxed in my room 🙂

As for description. The walls are painted yellow, as I get depressed in winter so the yellow was to help uplift me. I have my PC in the northeast corner of my room. I then have a bookcase with my dvds and video games on, then my TV etc which is on a unit that is infront of the door to the boiler. This is all on the east wall. As I walk into my room, I have a bookshelf along the south wall. Then I have a cd holder. The wardrobe is in the southwest corner. Then its a cupboard effort with my spiritual supplies in (candles, incense sticks), then my bed, then my chest of drawers with my stereo on.

I know im breaking loads of feng shui rules like with the electrical stuff being in my room, but in an ideal situation (like my own place) the electrical stuff would be in another room lol. Also I have a chunk of amethyst geode on the chest of drawers to block any 'electromagnetic smog'.
