Just wondered - have read that to find the wealth area in your room you stand at the door way and it is the top left hand corner of the room, but what if there are two doors leading into the room, one at each end for instance, which would you go by?
The door you use most, and block the other door if possible or hang a beaded curtain to stop chi flowing too quickly through room; a suspended crystal between the two door will do the same.
oh wow!! thankyou Mango!!:)
Are you placing the bagua over the whole house or individual rooms?
Also what branch/school of feng shui are you doing
I read it was good to put a plant especially a plant with mauve flowers in that corner.
Funnily enough after putting an African Violet in the top left hand corner of my kitchen I got a pay rise and we won a raffle.
That was a long time ago mind.
I was thinking of looking at both whole house and each individual room Mango - does it work that way? I'm not really doing any branch - it's just that for a party tomorrow night one of my 'features' is top feng shui tips to improve your fianance and I read that instruction and realised that alot of rooms have two doors.
If it is the whole house would it be the door you use the most, even that would happen to be a side or back door or would it automatically be the official front door???
Love the tip re the African violet and will be doing that myself Orangeblossom.
You can lay the bagua over the property or individual rooms or both, each floor can have the bagua. I would say that the door is the official front door, that is the door that the outside world uses to come in to your house i.e post delivery through your letter box, the door that sales people knock on etc.
A good tip re the African violet is to place it on a round mirror to energize the money luck, another plant often used is the Jade Plant/Money plant; and look after it by keeping it healthy and properly fed and watered.
Take a look at this plan for placing the bagua over the house, it can also be used for each room also.
I haven't found a good "cure" for my bathroom, which is in my money corner. I put red ribbons around the shower and toilet pipes and have a money toad sitting in that corner, which is my bathtub/shower. What else can I do?

have you got a plant in there, to "soak" up any water, to allow it to accumulate a while?

- Keep toilet lid closed when not in use
- Do not let taps drip or run for too long
- Place a plant or bowl of pebbles on a shelf above the toilet or on the cistern itself
- Place a round mirror above the sink if permitted
- Place 8 sticks of lucky bamboo or a jade plant in wealth area
- Have a picture or decals of 9 koi carp/gold fish, with one of the fish being black and the remaining eight gold.
- If you lie in the bath tub with the door behind you, place a round mirror on the wall in front so that you can see the door.
- Make sure the bathroom has good ventilation.
- Have a wooden or ceramic tiled floor
- Try and screen off the toilet from the rest of bathroom.
- Keep bathroom door closed or hang a beaded curtain to slow down the movement of chi.
- Some auspicious colour's for the wealth area are:
- Black: associated with the water element (less is more with this colour);)
- Blue : Also associated with the water element
- Green : Associated with tree element ( green represents growth)
- Keep bathroom clean and tidy and clutter free.
The biggest mistake people make is to concentrate on one particular area of the bagua and neglect the rest, there needs to be a balance in each area for good Feng Shui.
I was also advised to place a small mirror facing upwards under the sink. Our loo was in the prosperity corner in our new house and things did not go well financially so my husband bolted the front door curtained it off, and made the back door the main entrance. We also put chrysicolla above the original front door as the stairs run straight down to it (inauspicious) I usually take these things with a pinch of salt but things have balanced out good luck with your presentation Frayja
I've found this topic very interesting and I was wondering - our back door is in the living room and we always keep the living room door open this means that our front door is directly facing our back door. I had heard that this wasn't a good thing as the energy comes in one door and out the other. It just so happened that we placed a wind chime above our back door, it is metal chimes with a wooden top and middle piece with 5 chimes I think. Another thing is, during the summer when our little girl goes out to play we always keep the front door open (so we can keep an eye on her) and obviously if it's really hot the back door will be open too. Anyway, this year has been particularly, actually very, difficult financially for us so I was wondering if it may have something to do with this being the wrong type of chime? or I have put it in the wrong place? or should I also be doing something else? or maybe I'm just losing the plot 😮
There has been no change in our circumstances that warrant this year being so difficult.
