For me personally, I learned EFT because of a client challenge and stayed because of personal results. What attracted you to EFT? 🙂
🙂
I was asked by my good friend Justine (Gussie on these forums) if I'd like to learn another therapy with her, and I thought why not, so I signed up for it. We were asked to download the free manual from gary craig's site and read up on it so we could get straight into the course with some knowledge and have more time for practice, questions and advanced stuff, and when I read it.... .... saying something whilst tapping on myself... ... I thought "what on Earth has she got me into now!", especially as I'd invited another friend along to learn it too and she was somewhat more, how shall we say, 'straight laced' as she was a consultant in the NHS.
Anyway, we went on the course, taught by our now good friend Dez Sellars (also a member of these forums) and experienced EFT in action. Wow! what an experience! Clearly it worked, there was no doubt about that, and what Dez taught us was clear and also included advanced techniques, including some kinesiology and NLP stuff to use alongside it. (He also demonstrated [DLMURL="http://www.yellowbamboo.net/index_en.htm"]Yellow Bamboo[/DLMURL] to us which was nothing to do with EFT, but was an amazing experience in itself... somewhat bizarre at first, but very powerful).
Since then we've gone on to learn FreewayCER for which we learnt the first level with Dez and the advanced level with Tom and Bev who founded the system. Whilst it's similar to EFT, it seems to work more quickly in that it's not necessary to try and determine the root causes with the client, you can just work on the last time they experienced the issue and it naturally propagates back to the root. So, both work effectively though I find the latter more speedy to use, and the techniques I've learnt with EFT and all of Gary Craig's videos are certainly a good source of knowledge.
So, to answer your question... what attracted me to EFT... That'll be Justine. 😀
(and the desire to learn something different to Reiki ;))

It was recommended by my nutritional therapist who said there seemed to be some very good results from it. I found Gary Craig was coming over to give a 3-day seminar the next weekend - and managed to book in. There were 450 therapists from all over Europe and the Middle East attending and those 3 days watching Gary work with some seemingly very difficult cases was just astonishing - it blew me away! His skill was amazing to watch and the results were equally astonishing - even to obvious changes in blood slides done by a doctor who was one of the clients. Learning EFT was a necessity! 😀
I am not sure yet if I am actually attracted or not  I want to be as I keep reading about the positive results. I can't do the head tapping at all on myself as I have BPPV and terrific head aches and pressure most of the time. I need more inspiration from others I think.
My son has just qualified in EMDR but that sounds a little too complicated for me.
A friend at work became enthused and it was infectious. We persuaded the Trade Union to pay half our course fees as part of our redundancy package. We had a great couple of weekends with the lovely Gwyneth Moss. 10 years of neck pain, £££s spent at the osteopath, now a thing of the past 🙂

Very interesting, because when I do EFT with myself or others, that happens anyway 🙂 I agree with you that it is better not to question the client too much about root causes, especially where trauma is involved.
Is Justine still on here too? 🙂

Don´t worry, you don´t have to tap on the head at all, not even on the face. You can tap on the Collar Bone, Under Arm, Below Nipple, Fingers, Gamut, and Wrist, to name a few, without tapping at all on the head. If you want some videos of points to use, just pm or email me.

I see her pop on from time to time but I know she's been very busy doing other things. Would certainly be good to see her back here some more. Perhaps I'll give her a prod... 🙂

I had never heard of EFT until I went for my first Reiki session. After the session my RM showed me how to do EFT for the problem I was experiencing at the time. Well I was amazed! I downloaded Gary Craigs manual and have used EFT lots of times on myself.
I suggested EFT to my mum recently and she said she couldn't be bothered. But a few days ago she had to go into hospital with breathing difficulties. I suggested the EFT again. This time she tried it and the result was extremely positive.
I really need to do a proper EFT course.
New Age London - You mentioned you have videos. Would you mind me taking a look please?

Hi city girl
I learned EFT from - excellent training 🙂 and both are very highly qualified. If you want other trainers in different locations - they may well point you in the right direction.
It is an amazing technique and well worth qualifying in.
Best wishes
Thanks for the link Caroline.
