Recent EFT news - US congressman Tim Ryan sent a letter to Secretary of State for Veteran affairs, recommending that Emotional Freedom Techniques should be adopted by the Veterans Administration to help the vets suffering with PTSD.

Good to see some American politicians recognising the value of EFT in supporting their servicemen - look forward to the time when this happens in the UK!

When I work with PTSD, alongside EFT I also use the evidence-based therapies recommended by the National Institute for Clinical Excellence for use in the NHS (these are also the ones offered by various veteran mental health charities) - Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing). In my clinical experience EFT is not in any way inferior but frequently more effective, usually faster and also gentler and more client-friendly.
