Hiya

Anyone familiar with this, for it with EFT Insights but the implications are unclear, anyone know?

Copying and pasting from the email I received.. does this mean our accreditation will be defunct or what?

For over ten years, the EFT Certificate Program administered by Pace Educational Systems has led the field with its home-based credentialing program in EFT which resulted in thousands of EFT practitioners worldwide studying Gary Craig’s DVDs with a diligence and care they might not have applied to the task otherwise. The program has been granting EFT Certificates of Completion, and the right to place credentialing initials after their names to those who have passed examinations based on two of Gary Craig’s DVD series – his Basic EFT Course and his EFT- Beyond the Basics Course (previously known as Steps Toward Becoming an Ultimate Therapist course).
After June 6th, the EFT Certificate Program will no longer accept any new applicants. It will be followed by a very different EFT Certification program to be administered by the website.
This is important news for all those diligent practitioners who have earned EFT Certificates of Completion. These people will of course retain their coveted initials after their names and be able to hang the EFT Certificates of Completion on their walls, but after the June 6th deadline they will be the last group of people ever to be granted these privileges. The EFT Certificate Program will not admit any new candidates to their program after midnight FridayJune 6th, the date on which Gary Craig will officially announce his new program.
The administrators of the present EFT Certificate Program have asked us to announce in this newsletter that if you or someone you know have wanted to apply for the EFT Certificate exams in the past and still want to do so, you can apply beforeJune 7th and be granted the right to take these examinations and obtain your EFT Certificate(s) (if you pass) within the regular time frame, even after closing of the program. But you must apply byJune 6thfor this to take place. In addition, those who have already purchased the EFT Certificate exams but have not yet had time to complete them, will be granted sufficient time to do so, just as they would have if the program were continuing.
Gary Craig will be launching his new EFT Certification Program with full respect for the EFT-CC and EFT-ADV Certificates of Completion, which in their time represented a milestone in EFT education. When the EFT-ADV designation was added to the program in 2004, it was at that time a measure of the most advanced training available from Craig's videos. Now however, with the advent of his seven additional DVD Training Series, advanced levels of EFT training from Gary are available that did not exist when the EFT Certificate program was developed. Also, at the time the EFT Certificate program was established neither Pace Educational Systems nor Gary Craig was willing to take the legal risk of certifying and thereby endorsing people in any EFT training program. After careful research, Gary is now willing to offer academic certification as the founder of EFT. The new EFT Certification Program will reflect this extension of EFT education by covering considerably more territory in its examinations than did the former program. If you want the details of Gary Craig's new program, watch for his EFT Insights newsletter which will give full details next Friday, June 6th.
We are not free to divulge more than limited information about Gary’s new certification program before that announcement date, but we can tell you that the new program will consist of three online examinations which will be administered very differently from the former EFT Certificate of Completion exams.
The first (Foundational Level) examination will become available to applicants next week when emofree.com's new certification program officially opens. This exam will test each applicant's knowledge of Gary's Craig's Basic EFT Course, his EFT -- Beyond the Basics course (formally the Steps Toward Becoming the Ultimate Therapist), and his Palace of Possibilities series. The examination will thus duplicate, in part, the subject matter on which the present EFT-CC and EFT-ADV certificates are based. However, it will make use of a very different assessment method using online examinations and will ultimately measure a more advanced level of mastery than did the EFT Certificates of Completion. Because the new EFT certification exams will in no way be identical to the EFT Certificate ones, there will be no "transfer" credit from the present EFT Certificate of Completion program to Gary's new one. Those who take the new examinations will be undertaking a new training experience under new administration which will be subject to new and different rules.
Whether or not EFT Certificate holders will avail themselves of the credentialing opportunities offered by the new EFT Certification Program will no doubt depend upon each individual's professional goals. Those holding the current certificates can continue to use them as their sole professional designations and seek no further credentials in this area if they wish to do so. However, it is likely that many people will want to add the new EFT Certification Program credentials to their existing ones. This program will provide them with official EFT “Gary Craig signed” certificates for three different levels of EFT knowledge.
In the meantime, the administrators of the EFT Certificate Program have asked us to announce that those who want to purchase the EFT-CC or EFT-ADV exams before the program closes at midnightJune 6th (after which these designations will become unavailable to new applicants) must order the exams by then because no exams can be ordered after the official closing of the program. Only if you order an exam now will you be granted the customary time to complete it after the closing of the program. Also, those who have recently purchased the EFT- CC or EFT-ADV examinations but have not yet taken them can still take them and receive their Certificates of Completion (if they pass the exams) after closing of the program. The program administrators request that people in the latter category write to pacetracking.

Reading it, I don't think it affects anyone who has a current certification for EFT. It sounds like there is going to be a new structure to the certification for anyone learning it from this point on and, no doubt, existing practitioners can also obtain the new certification if we should so wish. As it says in the email, there's little information they can give about the new certification. Perhaps there will be a bridging process for old method to new method or perhaps existing practitioners will only need to take the advanced/master certification or whatever they will call it.

I certainly don't think the thousands (if not millions) of existing EFT practitioners will suddenly find their qualifications defunct.

Well, here's Gary's official certificate program, finally announced...

[DLMURL] http://www.emofree.com/certannounce.htm?WT.seg_1=N_Jun06_certification [/DLMURL]

Looks a tad expensive especially if you've already paid to do EFT training elsewhere. Also looks like you'd have to be a pretty dedicated therapist working on at least 2 clients a week with EFT (not sure how he's going to ensure you've treated 100 people and had 1 years experience, then 200 people and 2 years experience etc)

Hmm, need to read a little more of the details methinks...

It looks like it's only the route for online certification and work with the DVDs rather than in class training? If it is just online training, I would say stick to face to face!

I've just posted some info on this on the Student/Trainer forum, which may help to clarify.
