I'm about to do the ear candle course and have been looking at websites to get them from. I've also noticed that there are different sizes so wondered which people prefered to use?

Hi Kaz, I use the Biosun candles (no connection to the company) for everyone, if the whole is small then I get a piece of tissue and wrap it round the end and squeeze it to fit the ear, Jo x

Hiya,
I am a tutor in hopi ear candling, and I think you will probably find that most insurance companies only accept you for insurance purposes if you have been trained with BIOSUN candles. The biosun candles have been prepared to certain specifications and have been certified.

Hope that helps.

I only use Biosun candles - for all clients regardless of ear size. As mentioned above they can be made to fit if necessary but I've never needed to squash the end. I've also recently discovered "something for the wickend" and they have an extremely good range and are good value. The service I've received has been efficient and quick and I'd also recommend them.

For people with very small ear canals, or babies or children, I twist the bottom of the candle into a speculum from the otoscope - this can be placed in the ear comfortably.
