Hi, I just wondered what others' thoughts/experiences were on selling ear candles to members of the public. I see from eBay's terms and conditions that you're not allowed to sell them on there. Is it legal to sell them to members of the public in other places, say at events? And even if this is permitted, is it a good thing or not?
In some ways, I'd thought it could detract from the idea that it's a professional treatment, to be carried out by people who are qualified to do so. There's also a safety aspect, though you'd of course make sure proper instructions were included.
Would be grateful for any views.
Thanks a lot

Well, not sure why ebay doesn't allow them, but there's no reason you couldn't sell them to the public at events etc.
a) plenty of people already do
b) places like Holland and Barrett already sell them to the public
c) there is no legal restriction on anyone buying them if they choose.
It's fairly safe to assume (there will always be exceptions) that the people buying them will know how to use them. Those that don't know how to use them, probably don't even know what they are. No doubt there will be someone buying them who is just trying it without experience or training, but you get that with many things in life.

They are readily available on Amazon
(However, no second hand one’s available) (hehehe)
It make’s one wonder where the rules are coming from
Many thanks for the helpful replies. Yes, I just discovered them on Amazon - quite competitive prices too. It is weird, isn't it, how the rules vary. I believe they're completely banned in Canada.
