Hi There.I am new to candeling and so think icould have done something else? I ahve a client who has sufferred from sinuses for 17 years. He "snorts" water to relieve the pressurewhich mainly centres around his forhead on the left side.He has this most of the timewith no relief.Of course he was the first person i wanted to try it out on.The candeling was so so.A very small amount of crackeling and spitting.Nothing in the candle. He was no better either ,no relief.Any ideas????

Hi Janec, don't despair, it can often take more than one session to get an improvement, also the improvement may not be immediate (he may feel a little better tomorrow). Just out of interest did you do a sinus drainage massage and head massage, i have found the massage coupled with the candles very effective for sinus congestion. Although the results can be more noticable if you can convince the client to cut down on dairy too.;)

Hi there,

To a certain extent you have answered the problem yourself - it took 17 years to get to this state - it isn't going to disappear overnight in 1 treatment. Managing clients expectations at times can be the most difficult part of our job. If the body reacted so suddenly to clear conditions the effect on the whole body system would be massive and probably put it into shock!!!

Slowly, slowly catchee monkey and follow Staranise advice too.

Good luck

Hi Janetc
Was there anything in the candle at all??? ash? or completely nothing??? If nothing then this would indicate excellent burning of the candle with no blockages!

I ask my clients to breathe deeply through their nose and out through their mouth - if they can, i find asking them to breath deeply and slowly can have a great effect.

Also - second what staranise said about the sinus drainage massage? Did you do this? I always give extra attention to the sinus massage when treating clients with sinus problems.

As for him feeling no effect... I would recommend a course of 2 more and see how that goes, by then he should have some beneficial effects.

I personally have sinus probs, after my first treatment the effects lasted a couple of days then as each treatment went on i the effects last much longer and I can now go 1/month before problems come back again.

Have you seen your client since? it may be that he did feel different up to 48 hours after treatment but as this wasnt an immediate effect you won't know. Maybe a courtesy call.

I had a client with long term sinus problems and gave him regular ear candling which didn't help him.

Eventually, he discovered it was a reaction to a long term medication he was taking. Once he changed this, the sinus problem disappeared.
