I have treated my dad with Hopi Ear Candling for his cronic ear issues. He has always suffered sinutitis and for the past so many ears has graduall lost his hear. It fluctuates and some times he feels a pressure has subsided and he can hear again. He has endured many courses of anti biotics to no avail. his consultant is suggesting a hearing aid but as he keeps getting middle ear infections this has never happened.

After i did the candling on him he did feel a bit better for a few das. I have shown my mum how ot do the candling and she has successfully treated him about 4 times. Hhow often can it be done andduring what time scale? I have also suggested he has food intolerance testing done as I suspect dairy has a part to pla in this. the copious blocks of cheddar he eats in a week is most likel causing a mucus over load.

No need for testing all he has to do his stop eating all milk/dairy products for about eight to ten weeks. It's hard to do as dairy products are in lots of things, I did this back in the 1980's, as I had cronic hayfeaver/sinusitis.

Fingers crossed there should be an improvement within about 4 weeks, but it can be really painful, as the sinus's have been overworking for years. After about 10 weeks start to introduce one dairy product at a time, in the first week butter, second week one make of cheese, next milk. But only a little each day. If it was the dairy, all of a sudden his body will start producing mucus. All in all he'll eventually work out what is causing the problem and then avoid them!

I do have the odd cheese sandwhich or pizza, but if I have too many dairy items close together, I get a runny nose! So I stop. I've not drunk milk for years.

My GP at the time suggested that I try this and I havent looked back. But I suggest he visits his GP first as I had to have antibiotics/pain killers as it was very painful at times.

As for ear candling I do mine once every three/four months. Again he should visit the GP as I know someone who did theirs regularly for a few weeks as they had an ear problem only to find out that they had an abcess! Which took a lot of medical intervention too sort out.

I'm very concerned that people stick things in their ears without having someone 'looking' inside first to see if there is a healthy ear canal or not.

As for going deaf, I've lost the 'soft' notes, if people talk quietly or look away from me I have no idea what is going on. I went for a 'free' hearing test at Boots a few years ago and again this year, and the detoriation was very noticable. Plus I'm fairly 'young' to have this deafness but my familly have a history of deafness so it is genetic. I'm going down the hearing aid route.

Keep us posted on how he does.

Thank you for the advice.

I have suggested a dairy free diet and while he is not impressed I am hoping it has not fallen on deaf ears so to speak. The seed is planted and I reckon he will go dairy free soon.
