I recently did a detox with Bentonite clay and psyllium husks for three weeks, was pretty intense but used them morning and night according to the Tao cleanse. Bentonite clay has (I think) a kind of magnetic quality that enables a thorough cleaning of your intestines, it's pretty interesting stuff I would look it up.

I know it is recommended by some to use only once a day and think from my experience this would be beneficial too. In fact, thinking of doing the milder form of it again! thanks for reminding me..

I know that it is a while ago since you posted up your question, but I've noticed a book by Patrick Holford called 9-day detox. I was looking at it at the bookshop and it does seem good.

There is also an Alfred Vogel "detox box" which contains several of his plant extracts and instructions for doing a 7 day detox. Appears to be an effective but not harsh type of detox.

The simplest 'gentle' detox is to just drink ionized alkaline water one day a week and nothing else.

If you want to go further, then the original VE Irons 7 Day detox program is in my view the best - it uses bentonite, psyllium powder, wheat grass juice powder (you get the lot as a kit called Vitratox, the original is still by far the best), lots of water and one or 2 daily colonics.

I've been doing this 7 day detoxing and cleansing program once or twice a year since the early 90's, and feel better for it. One of the best sources today on detox solutions that work I feel is Daniel Reid (The Tao of Health and the Tao of Detox), he has been practicing what he preaches for over 30 years.

I have tried a detox supplement that blew my mind! I seriously tried a lot and i use to do bodybuilding competitions and honestly when i tried this one, i was very pleased with the results.
