When we preform our services on customers.. using our own stones or minerals, we often do not cleanse the stones or crystals long enough which can lead to cross contamination. Corrupting the stones and our self and even transferring these negative or positive energies to the next customer.

It is recommended that one wold first have a consultation with the prospective custom in an attempt to determine what in fact it is they seek in there treatments. Attempting to force treatments onto a customer with proper treatment identification can lead to more troubles in the future. After the first or even second consultation, the customer and partitioner should team up and search for the correct stones to use in said treatments.

Stone and crystals should not be touched by anyone else other then the customer or the practitioner and cleanse afterward. Crystals should be kept safe and secure within an area away from sunlight and extreme heat. Cool, even damp areas (natural spring, well or home zen fountain) are ideal for the cleansing.

The above process is very similar to that of "rebirthing" your crystals or minerals.. The crystals can be placed in natural container and left outside in shaded areas or even in the ground when not in use. Always mark your sites as not to forget the minerals. A flag or some other sort of marker like a landscape ornament is a great way to mark designated "Crystal Healing" areas.

The treatment crystals should be maintain much differently then any typically cleansing process. Often placing the crystals in the lower part of the refrigerator or basement.. Do not place crystals in the freezer, but they can be placed in very cold water for least the 15 min (shock factor) The very cold water awakens the crystals for the next treatment or usage.

The above comments, are all apart of not cross contaminating the treatments on your customers or clients.. Both you (the practitioner) and the custom need to develop safe habits when dealing with the natural healing powers of the properly cleanse and well maintained crystals.

The practitioners crystals are often over worked and over used on every customer.. Thus customers should bring along their own crystal therapy sets for the treatments.. reducing the wear and tear on the partitioners set and increasing the desired effect of the treatments.

Do your crystals have a say in how they are cleaned?

The Voice Within

I'm not talented enough to say if or not that my crystals are "Speaking" to me.. However common since informs me that crystals and minerals have come from the earth and start off in a liquid forms then harden over time.

In this case one must place themselves within the Crystal state of mind.. where did the crystals or minerals come from.. the earth of course.. but deep within the earth or just on top of the surface. Areas of the world have "Crystal Farms" or in some cases "Crystal Forests" which are crystal and minerals simply jutting out of the ground and heading towards the stars.

I'm sure crystals have a voice, But I'm clearly not in tune with them on this aspect. Thou, I would doubt very seriously that a crystal would tell you to bath/cleanse them in salt or a saline solution.. and if you've already done so.. I would hate to hear the screams of pain coming forth from them as the salt corrodes or erodes the crystals structure.

My cleanse habits are not as often as I would have hoped.. thus I've suggested to a number of users of the stones to have on hand their own sets.. and again reducing wear and tear on me and my set..

One thing I neglected to mention here.. the "Transcendental" part.. Meditation and asto-projection along with other forms of communications be is spiritually or physically.. Help the practitioner focus and connect with his or her stones.. The connectedness to ones crystal is very important for the practitioner as well as the customer.

Being pagan, I believe crystals can be cleansed in the 5 elements, earth, air, fire (though of course heat can damage crystals), water (though some dissolve in it such as selenite), and the 5th element being spirit/ki/energy.

Sometimes I like to sit down and build my relationship with the crystals by giving them reiki

As I work shamanically, it is easiest (and best) to ask the individual crystal. I'm not a crystal therapist at all, but I do have crystals who are friends and they all have ways that they prefer to be cleaned (or emptied, as several of them act as 'sanctuary crystals' providing a refuge for other spirits until they can be returned home).

Water is a favourite - particularly mountain or moorland streams, although tap water will do if it's all that is available. Some like earth and others like to be outside, whatever the weather, for a day or so. It is individual and has nothing to do with what type of crystal it is.

Finalshine - is selenite another name for gypsum?
