Hiya

Well I've never experienced this with Lepidolite, but then crystals can sometimes have a mind of their own and they do what they need to do for someone! 😀

I have a piece of Lepidolite under my pillow as I used to have constant bizarre dreams that were making me exhausted and drained. It seems to be working for me as my sleeps are now much more peaceful!

Lepidolite is a mica and will change colour as the tiny flecks are rubbed off, it will also absorb oil and moisture and darken that way, but its not affecting the properties, I bet the new colour is rather nice?

Well, the new colour is a very very dark violet.... it nearly seems black at first sight...I don't like it a lot 😮

My pendant is not a mica but a polishedtumblestone. But is it normal that become so dark in 4-5 hours? Bye Sylia 🙂

That may help explain what I meant, Lepidolite IS a mica and you have a tumblestone of it, mica is a mineral that forms very thin layers and sometimes each layer is a different colour and makeup, so the stone changes colour as it wears which it does just by handling because it is very soft, only 2-2.5 on Mohs scale of 1-10.

If you really aren't happy with it then take it back?
