Hi
I was given a rock years ago It has all but lost its outside crystal covering and I am hoping that someone can identify it for me.
The crystals themselves are extremely small and cover the base piece of rock like a fine blue down. in fact its hard to make out the crystals themselves but they have tiny elements that sparkle.
The colour is deep blue with occasional green, and over time the blue "crystal" bits have rubbed off..
It is supposed to be associated with the heart but I can't find any reference to it that fits.
hope someone has come across it.
Regards
Harry

Hi
Sorry I'm not very good at posting picture, but from what I've found I think that it could be Azurite.
It is like a mat cover over a base stone. Most has rubbed of leaving exposed the stone beneath.
It was supposed to be for the heart, but the person who chose it is very spiritual and I think that she let her own feelings cloud her decision as the crystal is described as tending towards the spiritual, and not the heart.

Harry,

Sounds like Azurite.  Druzy Quartz can also have tiny blue/green crystals on a base.
