Key Principles
Crystal therapy aims to harness the energy within the rocks in the earth’s crust, some of which are more than 40 million years old. Crystals are believed to be tuned into the earth’s magnetic field, to resonate at their own frequency and to receive, store and transmit energy.
When pressure is applied to a quartz crystal, energy is released in the form of an electric current – hence its use in electronics. *Kirlian imaging reveals that crystals have energy auras.
The theory behind crystal therapy is that the energy aura of the rock interacts with your aura energy, absorbing negativity and re-establishing balance.
Crystals are placed on various parts f the body to help restore energy and encourage the body’s own healing of either physical or emotional conditions.
Which Crystals
There are many different kinds. Those that refract light so that they produce internal flashes of colour are considered especially powerful. Many crystals have points through which energy is believed to flow.
Some are double-pointed, receiving and transmitting energy in both directions at the same time.
Different crystals are associated with each of the seven charkas, depending on their colour.

Auras can apparently be captured on film using techniques such as aura energy photography and Kirlian photography.
