While I have had recurring constipation for many years and take dietary measures to reduce such episodes, for several months I have gone from going every day to 2-4 in spite of increasing my fibre and water intake. 🙁

I've recently acquired a batch of crystals, including bloodstone which is one of the relievers, can anyone kindly recommend any others?

Not a crystal but try taking a magnesium supplement.

Crystals Red Coral if you can get it, and Carnelian can help. You do know that it is the form of the stool not the frequency that matters?

Many thanks Cascara :), I have a carnelian so will give this a go too. Also thank you for the stool advice, mine are hard and I drink around 1.8 litres every day consisting of water and herbal teas ( fennel and peppermint) on top of wholemeal bread, fruit & veg including prunes.

You're in crazy company Cascara, as I love them too- neat from the pack or chopped up with porridge 😀

oooh the gooey ones are the best, but I also like hard dates. Have you tried linseed/flaxseed? I have been experimenting with a teaspoon of golden or brown linseed, if we eat it whole it seems to draw in moisture, have a research into it 🙂

I'm not a lover of dates, only when slit down the middle and stuffed with marzipan a la Christmas sweets mode 😀

Progress has been made: upon placing a carnelian on my belly and a dozen prunes later, I'm pleased to report things have 'softened up and moved on' today 🙂

Thanks for the linseeds and flaxseeds tip, I'll look into that as all this prune eating ( I buy the ready to eat pitted which seem to be the same as yours ) is costing a small fortune!
