Hi there! I was wondering if anyone could help me identify this crystal! It’s greeny black and feels rough like a rock, but it has a shiny clear/brown bottom, almost like a quartz (just at the bottom though). I purchased it in Edinburgh in December because I was drawn to it at the time, and would love to know what it is!

well I get the feeling it is an epidote with a feldspar or quartzbottom, it could be part of a massive granite and just lucky 🙂

Although epidotes are found in metamorphic rocks, and feldspar and quartz mainly in granite.

It is a moss agate.
