Hello everyone,
I am very interesting in studying to be a counsellor. Now I know this is both time-consuming and very expensive to start with but could anyone tell me if they know anything about which body regulates counselling and who I should train with?
Thank you

RE: Counselling Courses
Hello,
I did not see where you are based. One of the difficulties is deciding which model to choose, e.g psychodynamic, humanistic etc. I have just completed an Introduction to Psychodynamic Counselling with WPF, who are located just off Kensington High Street in London, as well as some other sites around the country. They have a great reputation though they are a little pricey. They hold open evenings quite often - check out the website
I found this book really helpful - "Choosing a counselling or psychotherapy training - a practical guide" by Sylvie K. Schapira. Published by Routledge ISBN 0-415-20846-7
