Would achiroprator help with a neck problem like this?
RE: Advice please. displaced C7
Hi caringsoul
find yourself a cranial osteopath. For sensitive areas such as this you will find cranial osteopathy the most gentle non invasive approach.

RE: Advice please. displaced C7
Thanks. Will look to see if any in my area.

A Special Massage Thrapist can help to also and may be less costly.
Good Luck

RE: Advice please. displaced C7
Hi Caring Soul. I think it would be a good idea to start by asking what exactly you mean by a displaced C7 and also how the diagnosis was made. I dont want to become to anal about this but as a therapist yourself (and with a name such as caring soul I think you must be) you willKnow that many complaints have various aetiologys (sorry about the spelling). Are we talking segmental buckling, frank disc prolapse, reflex muscle spam???You seegetting the diagnosis correct will greatly influence the treatment selection. somebody just arbitarily saying do this "cusit worked for me" is not good enough. I am a Chiropractor and I would heartily recommmend various forms of manual therapy From Maitland loading to HVT's,fromMETs to over the door traction but remember case presentation, aetiologyare everything.Regards Jarvis
P.S if its the very gentle approach you like maybe you couldtry a Mctimoney Chiropractor.

Along the lines of seeing a chiropractor, maybe alsotry a Gonstead practitioner. Gonstead adjustments for cervicals are done in a seated position, so there is no compromise to the vertebral artery but it also a safe hands-on experience.
I've found a link that might show you the set up of correcting a C7 subluxation: [link= http://tech907.tripod.com/c2spct.htm ]http://tech907.tripod.com/c2spct.htm[/link]
[link= http://tech907.tripod.com/c2altct.htm ]http://tech907.tripod.com/c2altct.htm[/link]Don't be alarmed if the patient in the picture looks a little "stressed", trust me when i say these adjustments are very comfortable and not at all stressful.
But look around at other therapies, this is just a suggestion.
RE: Advice please. displaced C7
I forgot to include a link for Gonstead Chiropractic in my message below. But here it is: [link= http://www.gonstead.com/ ]http://www.gonstead.com/[/link]. Here is another link that compares 2 techniques Diversified and Gonstead: [link= http://tech907.tripod.com/index.html ]http://tech907.tripod.com/index.html[/link], both will deal with displacements of C7. I just personally prefer getting treated by Gonstead but there is nothing wrong with Diversified. Both are highly recognised and recommended forms for techniques in Chiropractic.
Hope that help 🙂
