Hi to all Bowen practitioners

I recently tried Bowen for a painful wrist/thumb joint (reflexology RSI!). I found it quite useful and seemed to work on all different ailments I have, but I've now got a number of bruises on me from where the therapist pressed certain points. Is this normal? Do many of your clients bruise after the treatment?

thank you

Hello,

As far as I know, you should not be bruising after a BT treatment. But talk to your therapist about it.

Thanks Artemis.

I haven't had a chance to re-book with him yet, but as it happens I bumped into him in the street yesterday and mentioned it to him. He also said that it shouldn't have happened, and will look into it at our next appointment.

I also asked the Bowen practitioners in my clinics who said the same.

I know I bruise easily, but wasn't sure if it was from the treatment or not.......

It may be that the treatment has touched upon what causes you to bruise so easilly. In which case it is not necessarilly bad, because it might alllow to do something about the root cause of it.
