I'm starting up a mobile beauty business with a fellow therapist and we're having trouble deciding which product range to use for skin care and nails?
Would be great if you could share some advise on which one's you like/use/are good value for money etc etc... baring in mind we are not salon based.
Thank You 😀
RE: What product range do you use?
Hi Jasper,
Just like you I'm starting up aswell and I'm also looking for a product.
At the moment I'm using Skin Truth, by Beauty Express. My clients seem to like it and it's reasonable priced.
I also trained with the product at night school so I know what it's like.
When I get a bit flushed I might get something else but at the moment I'm very happy with it,and the range has something for all skin types and they do hand products aswell!
Hope this was a help.
RE: What product range do you use?
At the moment I don't do any beauty therapies but hope to add facials very soon. I do however have a range of products that I retail, Forever Living Products. The product range includes excellent skin care and facial products and extends to personal care, makeup and nutrional supplements. I love them, and importantly my repeat customers do too.
As for Nail products, I have looked into Nail treatments and products and personally I would opt for Creative Nails, just really liked them and the products.
Thanks
Mat

RE: What product range do you use?
Hi,
I have also been looking and have now decided to use Jessica (natural nail company) for my varnishes. I will use Susan Molyneux for the skin care. The skin care decision was based on 3 friends coming with me to the excel beauty show and trying different products. This was the only one that had all 3 liking the product
Hope this helps with your decision

RE: What product range do you use?
Hey!
I'm not a therapist but I thought I'd tell you what I use at home...
I live in Ireland and order from QVC..
Liz Earle naturally active skin care is really good but since having my baby over a year ago I'm finding it needs a little TLC so I've switched to Decleor.
As for nails I honestly don't think you can beat OPI, nail Envy would be my desert island must have (along with l'occitanes shea butter hand cream!!)
I also love Molton Brown for the bath!!!(I know thats off topic but it would be my favorite luxury ;). A big bubble bath a good book and a hot chocolate........+ 20 minutes without interference to enjoy it!!:D:D
RE: What product range do you use?
hey there
i think it all depends on what price range you are looking for, eve taylor do a lovely range of aromatherapy skin care. my fav has to be dermalogica tho, they have products for everything and are amasing to retail. skin truth are ok products however will not suit everyone as that do contain alcohol so may be irratant. jessica are grate for manicures for natural nailsas are creative nails as they offer both natural and artificial nails.
hope all goes well

RE: What product range do you use?
Hiya,
Being mobile is a bit of a nuisance when it comes to products (especially facial products) as most (if not all) of the big houses will not sell to mobile therapists.
I have been using a range from Salon Services which is okay, and the best I could get. I would like to use thalgo or nimue. Dermalogica are good, but it is very common and they only sell to salon based therapists.
For hands and feet, I use creative nail design which I think is superior to other products. They are a bit more expensive, but they are excellent.
For aromatherapy, I use eve taylor.
For generic products, I use salon services, sallys, beauty express, etc.

RE: What product range do you use?
I don't use skin care products professionally, but I've recently beentrying Dr. Hauschker products and they've made an amazing difference to my skin in the three weeks I've been using them so far. They contain completely natural ingredients and are very gentle, so as to ensure the acid mantle of the skin doesn't get harmed. They are on the pricey side, but perhaps worth considering?
RE: What product range do you use?
Hi,
For nails I use Creative Nail Design and Calgel for nail enhancements.
I have just started usingRenu by Susan Molyneux for my salon facials which I love. For mobile and the odd client in the salon I am using The Carat Facial in a box by Skin by Sterex. It is fabulous if you are mobile as there isn't a load of clutter to carry around with you - just one little box!
It isn't a pampering facial though, more like a quick fix in a box. It has a BHA skin preparation followed by retinol ampoule, skin peel, vitamin ACE Lift and finally a caviar finish. They are quite expensive too for the therapist to buy (if interested pm me and I will let you know how much to the therapist - not good to publish on a forum joe public can see).

RE: What product range do you use?
Thanks for all your advise guys it's been a real help 😀
Think we may go for the creative range for the nails but still not too sure on the facial product range. Would love to go with Dermalogica and I have arrange to have a chat with a rep this evening, I guess it just depends on how expensive this will be stock. However, the product is lovely!
Will keep you posted.

RE: What product range do you use?
Dermalogica would be my reccommendation. The products are amazing and if you ever feel likeadding new treatmentsyour menu of services you won't have a problem with finding products because Dermalogica has such a wide variety of them for all kinds of skin and body treatments. They are not too hard to get your hands on here, but I don't know how it is where you are. They make sure you attend their skin care seminars and such to keep you updated on the new technology which is nice as well. I have been working with them for 4 years, along with some otherproduct lines, and I have to say that I tend to use Dermalogica products the most.
