I'm a bit frustrated, as we are taught in college (it's an ITEC course), to wax the back of the legs at an angle, and *never* wax round a corner at all. But the hair grows at sometimes quite a sharp angle around the leg, so how am i supposed to avoid waxing round a corner if i have to apply the wax and strip in the direction of hair growth?

The back of the legs technique wan't explained to us very well, and there is no proper info in my text books either, it all just focuses on the other leg area, or just gives a single picture, which isn't very helpful.

I watched a ton of leg waxing vids on youtube to try and get an idea of the application technique, but they all just apply the wax straight up and down, not following the curve of the hair growth. So i'm feeling very frustrated/not confident about waxing this area, and my exam is soon.

Does anyone have any tips?

I've been having leg waxes for the last 40+ years, and can honestly say that I have never had anything other than 'up and down' application of wax. What does your tutor say - does she have handouts?

Yeah i wish i could just do the up and down method, so much easier. But they make everything as difficult as possible for us.

We're told to always apply both warm wax, and remove the strip, in the direction of hair growth. But on the back of the legs it grows at an agle, across the leg rather than straight down. So following that logic it'd mean waxing horizontally around the corner of the leg. But you're not supposed to wax round a corner. So aparently we're supposed to apply and remove it 'diagonally', but tbh, i've never been shown properly, and it's all very vague.

Really? I take you word for it but I am sure mine grows straight down just as it does on the front - but then it isn't the easiest are to examine directly.

My leg waxes are always just up and down on both back and front. And I have had them from several different beauticians
