Just wondering how you all manage to transport your wax heater in the car to keep it some bit warm and avoid wax spilling.

I used to carry a roll of clingfilm around- my heater had a pot that you could remove, so I would tuck the cling film around that before placing it back in the heater.

Nowadays I have a heater that warms the pot of wax that enables you to keep the lid on.

Just in case- you should transport it on the floor of the passenger seat, with a bin liner on the floor 🙂

Hope this helps

Thanks Loopy Loo. The last time I had my wax heater in the car, i placed it in a small bucket on the floor of the car but the wax ended up leaking out of the pot. I probably had too much wax in it. It would be handy if there was something out there that would keep the pot some bit warm travelling to clients.

Hi Im new to this but I used to be mobile and kept all my clients in the same area on the same day. I cut out an exact shape of the bottom of my wax pot out of polystyrene - it kept it warm but steady as well. I used a baby box but this was a long time ago and you will probably be able to get something better now. p.s. I had a very successful business and I only did waxing - quick and profitable.

Hi there

I used to sit my pot in a nest of towels in a canvas bag.

I use the tall Hive wax heater with an inner chamber. I only ever have a half full wax chamber that way it is a little safer to transport.

I transport it with the lid on. It is then placed in an IKEA storage basket and I have rolled towels either side of it to hold it in place. I only ever transport it in the front of the car (on the floor on the passenger side).

I got so sick to death of turning up with a messy unprofessional pot that I went over to roller wax and never looked back!
