RE: Massage and flat back syndrome

From what I have read, this syndrome develops as a result of surgery, and seems to be intractable and irreversible. Have you tried supporting the patient in as comfortable a position as they can achieve? I get the impression that as the body goes into a forward leaning position, it may be difficult for them to lie supine without a lot of padding. He/she will probably know what position suits them best, so go by their guidance, and then be creative in how you treat them!
