hi
i was just wondering i had botox done a few days ago because iv'e had a lot of pain to deal with to cut a long story short iv'e had three ops on my back since feb the last one lasting 11 hours i had lumbar fusion, and due to this iv'e got bad frown lines so i decided to go ahead with botox had it in two areas on my forehead and around the eyes just wondering how long it takes to show and how long it lasts for im paying monthly so i can have top ups done.
thanks clare xx
I've done work with post-op (or post-procedure) PS patients, and each one has been different. Is there any way you could get some facial, scalp, shoulder massage done, to help relax the muscles in the area, which may have a longer term result? You may find that if you have overworked a group of facial muscles over a long period, the relief from the 'lines' may be temporary, as other facial muscles start to take over and may still allow the impulse to 'frown'.
((I have seen some great results with botox for urinary incontinence!!!))
thanks jabba
well i can see results already but i will keep in mind them tips you gave me.
i think something as small as getting my hair and nails done has made me feel better in myself it's about being a shallow person because im not it's about being in pain for so long and im now finally getting my life back my kids are fine and well looked after so i think i shall concentrate on me for a while, everything that has happened to me this year has made me realise how much we can all take for granted like going for a family meal taking my little boy to the park simple things having this botox done has boost my confidence up to no end like i said my last op took 11 hours so iv'e got scarring on my chin because i was on my front for so long my chin was all blistered and a few layers of skin came of it.
im 38 and this year has gone with a blink of an eye so i intend to star enjoying my life more having this botox has really boost my spirits up now i need more tips on how to have good skin and what's the best way to get rid of dark circles under my eyes i would be grateful if anyone could give me these tips .
thanks clare x

Hi Clare
Tips to improve your skin and to look better - in a word - juicing. Juicing veg and fruit will release all the nutrients out of the plant cells for immediate absorption. Lots of nutrients there - not just vitamins and minerals but hundreds of other phytonutrients that help the body recover including enzymes and antioxidants to help deal with all those toxins that built up when you were so poorly. You have 2 shot glasses of juice daily on top of your intake of 5 veg and fruit daily. It's a lot to get through but will make a lot of difference and better for you and far cheaper than trying to get there by using creams from the cosmetic counter. That doesn't mean to say having a facial is bad for you - it's a wonderful treat - but food is the foundation.
An added bonus would be eating oily fish (ocean salmon, fresh tuna, mackerel, herring) which have omega-3 oils which are vital to skin health and which we are often very short of because it doesn't come in many other foods (nuts and seeds have a small amount but it needs converting into a simpler form to make use of it.
That's a start. 😀
thanks carolineN
your always very helpful to me so i will all the things you have suggested.
thanks clare xxxx

Do you have an recipes?
You mean like ? Google 'juicing for skin health recipes' and you'll get lots of hits.
The juice needs to be consumed or frozen within half an hour to maintain the levels of enzymes and antioxidants, which soon start to deteriorate. It appears a masticating juicer is better than a centrifugal one at getting juice from the plant cells. Some useful info .
