Hi,
I am trianing in beauty therapy. The tutor has really only shown the minimum for bikini waxing. I have practised on a friend who does like the hair removed further in to the middle. I have struggled to remove the hair a little bit closer in. So my question is: if the hair grows in the direction of towards the centre and you are closer in to the center anyway, i assume you apply the wax in the direction of hair growth but how do you rip the strip off. This area is not taut as it is further out, hence the difficulty of getting the wax and hair off. I hope I have explained this correctly so someone can advise me . I am thinking of doing a brazilian waxing course but I personally do not want to have it done which i assume you would on the course.
Hope someone can help
Thanks

RE: bikini waxing
Hiya Lorina,
I haven't been on here for a while (moving house, having a baby... the usual, lol), but yes, if you were going to go on a course, you would have to get it done.
As you know, you apply the wax in the direction of the hair, and I would get the client to hold the skin taut herself. Also, if the hair is a bit longer, it is very helpful to cut it first. You are also better to use hot wax and not warm wax, for that area as it gets a better grip.
Hope that helps,
Linzi x
RE: bikini waxing
I use warm wax and so does the salon I go to (I've never tried hot wax, but here it's good for bikinis). Really really helps though, as said above, to get the client to help you pull the skin taught.
