What sort of supplies are you looking for??

Sally Salon Services are a pretty widespread chain, as are Capitol Hair and Beauty. If you have a look in your local Yellow Pages under Hair and Beauty wholesalers you will find what is in your area. Most places that do hair stuff have beauty as well. None of them (that I have found anyway) have as much beauty as hair but they have everything you will need.

There are also lots of places you can mail order but then you get involved with postage costs and minimum orders which when you are just starting out you really don't need.

Hi, what its is i was just wondering if they are really any suppliers that do supplies for mobile therapists.

Or does anyone know any really good suppliers

If you show your certificate at your local wholesalers they will give you a trade card, you don't need to have a salon to shop there. Most things you use are the same as in a salon.

If it is equipment you are after there are only a few things which would be different to that used in a salon. You can get a tabletop/hand held steamer. I got mine on Ebay but mail order companies do them. You can also get a table top mag lamp. I only used mine for electrolysis and used to use a standard one with a G clamp and clamp it to my couch frame. I did not bother to lug one about for facials etc it's just too much bulk and too much equipment to fill someones home with.

There are places that do stacking trolley boxes but whenever I look at them they are always the wrong size and layout for whatever I want. Plus I only take into a home what I need for that treatment so they are pretty pointless to me. You would not want to put a wax pot in one because it would get terribly sticky. You are better off with plastic boxes for them and just renew them when they get shabby.

Mainey, if it's products you're after, then maybe try Eve Taylor's range. She sells to mobile therapists and there is no minimum order. Her products are lovely and they are particularly good to retail too.

Another good place for supplies are Ellisons and Beauty Express but you will have to pay quite high postage and they both have minimum orders too.
