hard to tell yet to be honest. I dont enjoy the history bits I want to get right in there (im impatient LOL) but yes its certainly interesting for sure. I took a package deal with them im doing aromatherapy, crystal therapy, kinesiology, hot stone massage and business for teh holistic therapist. so Im trying to do a bit of one then a bit of the next etc so Im finishing them all around the same time.... but with 3 kids and I was doing Health and safety and indian head massage at tech as well it hasnt quite worked out that way hahahaha

Ah, that's great you are doing all those courses... I understand what you mean as I've got 4 kids, so trying to get peace and quiet to get studying can be hard sometimes... I too am doing quite a few with SNHS and have been doing bits of around 4 of them in between each other... although I seem to be focussing more on the aromatherapy at the moment because I'm doing the case studies part..

well u inspired me so I got my head stuck in today and got the 2nd bit emailled away to them so thats 1-6 covered just have to wait for them to send it back now.....

That's fantastic, well done, I'm really pleased for you! If you want me to email you the next 3 lessons, just let me know. Lessons 7-9 are all about carrier oils, essential oils and you get a really useful blending guide. They are my favourite lessons so far.

With SNHS I've done some of my Indian Head Massage, Reflexology and Nutrition. I did start the Herbalism one but haven't handed any of it in yet. I'm also doing A&P and Hot Stone Therapy with BSY, have done a few lessons of them so far.

Oh I meant to say I made up a new consultation form last night for Aromatherapy as the one we got with the course didn't have enough medical conditions on it and I also typed up the Massage Techniques so that they are all in one file and easier to read. Would you like me to email you a copy of each?

I got another aroma treatment done today for my course, really enjoyed it and I'm feeling more confident about doing the massage now. I'm enjoying the consultations and blending too..

I dont think Im putting enough detail into it as they did specificlly say "detailed" but on the other hand.,, I cant actually think of anything else to say as most of it is covered in the consultation and I dont want to keep repeating what Ive already shown evidence of if that makes sence

With the case studies, I think you have to type up a detailed account of what you have put in your consultation form. You don't have to hand in the actual consultation form to them, you have just to summarise it and hand that in. Altogether if you do 3 case studies with 3 sessions for each one, there should be 6000 words altogether (2000 per case study of 3 sessions).. this is the reason I put more detail into the consultation form, so I would deliberately add more to it and have more info for writing up the case studies.. I dont think the original consultation form had enough in it.. I don't know how I'm going to write up 6000 words, but I will give it a go..

Well I done my essay today for Lesson 8 so I am going to type up Lessons 7, 8 and 9 tonight and get them emailed to the school..

I got some Juniper oil today, its beautiful and smells like Maya Gold chocolate!!

I also ordered a lilac fitted sheet with face hole for my massage table 🙂

It took them a week to get back to me and they apologised, saying they were really busy at the moment. 7-10 days has been the norm for the lessons I have done with their other courses too.

I got mine back late last night, thankfully they were all fine, BUT....

my almost 2 year old nearly didnt make 2 as he stuck a spoon in my usb in my laptop yesterday so Ive lost everything all the work Ive done to date on all the courses. Im having to use my husbands today but of course my stuff is on my desktop so...... Im at a loss again for a while.

Hi ya thank you for the offer but it doesnt matter really. as all the stuff had to be sent my email I had copied it to a word doc to keep for myself so at the end Id have all the info in one place and thats what Ive lost, my hubby is currently taking it back to the shop to see it they can do anything as it is only 8 or 9 months old, and its not just this course its crystal healing and hot stone massage as well. Thanks anyway 😉

Hi. Just to add. I also re-did the consultation form. I used the form in Aromatherapy Therapy Basics by Helen McGuiness and as it was detailed it did help immensely with the case studies. I know Holisticbabe that you say you repeat but that is what I did as effectively you are just repeating : how you set up the room and the massage movements. Although do remember to add a bit more info to the massage as the client could have come to you with a sore shoulder.. so you need to say that you concentrated on the shoulder or did more friction there and so on... or they have sinus problems so you did extra moves on the face/sinuses etc.

I too lost work when I did this course as the computer had a paddy and lost all the messages that they sent back to me saying that I had passed. Stress! But I just carried on.

Im at a stand still again a lot of issues atm with my ex hubby and my kids so its all going back to court so I need to concentrate on the kiddies atm.
