Hi there
This is my first post...

I’m a complete beginner (so I know I’ll need to complete A&P and massage) and would like to enrol on a course that is going to give me the best foundation to start a new career in Aromatherapy. I’m completely confused by the ITEC / VTCT courses. Ideally I’d like to enrol on a course that also gives me the option to fast track (but not eLearning).

Can anyone please offer me any advice?

Thank you
Kelly

I studied about 15 years ago with VTCT and there is no way I could of fast tracked the course with the amount I learnt. I did A&P (which was a whole term), blending, oil profiles, Health and safety as well as about 26 hours of client hours. Most fast tracks I've seen just use preblends and to be honest that is not the point of aromatherapy, its about being able to treat that person holistically and safely.
It is mor ethe massage you want to learn or the oils? There are plenty of massage only courses that are shorter.
Please, please do not scrimp on your aromatherapy course.

Hi there

Thank you for your reply. Having researched the courses more thoroughly, I found the ITEC course to have more clinical and technical content. I’m hoping to enrol soon. And yes, I completely agree with your final comment, it’s definitely not a good idea to cut corners!
Thanks again.
