How would I apply oils to the chakras? I have a potential client who is very much into chakras, and has asked me about using oils to support each of the chakras. Any suggtestions on how one would apply them?
Thanks in advance

I agree - but you could look into applying oils in the AREA of the chakra that will support the functions of that chakra in relation to the physical body .
Don't remember all of them and there is some debate about which go where but some oils are linked to specific Chakras - Rose for the heart, Sandalwood for the throat etc. I would use them in the normal way as a massage blend or in a burner. I've never done it myself but If you want to work specifically over a chakra then you could try a compress.

What about the transpersonal chakras :p.....?!
You could always send the intention of the energetic signature behind the particular oils via distant healing methods, as done in reiki, to reach the chakras that way. 😉

Hi there 🙂 In relation to your potential client, just wondered is this likely to be a one off client? Or perhaps treatment plan for several sessions?
You could discuss prior to any treatments, that perhaps you could offer aromatherapy massage using oils that are focused on one chakra per session.
So to begin a course of treatments you could start with the root/base chakra to ground and centre your client. Pick earthy, deep and warming essential oils. Perhaps you could focus on feet, legs and glutes as the treatment to help ground the client. Then for the second session focus on the sacral chakra, with focus on glutes and lower back and/or abdomen. Here you could opt for citrus, cheerful opening oils. Then 3rd session could be a back massage focusing on essential oils zingy, zesty and purifying. Something to ease tension that a lot of us hold here in the solar plexus.... and so on moving your way up to the crown chakra. 🙂
Of course if your client only wants a one of treatment, then try to break down where they need the most support. So if they say for example suffer from headaches dizziness stress then oils relating to the 3rd eye would be an idea. And perhaps combine that with a upper back, neck and should massage including the face. Oils for this would be chosen that sooth and calm, or allow the client to enter a relaxed medative state, such as frankincense 🙂
Based on Valerie Ann Worwood's work:
“Jerry has researched the oils as a method to treat the whole person. By treating the constitution, the individual becomes stronger physically, spiritually and emotionally and is able to move towards healing of multiple symptoms. I use the oils for various acute concerns as I find solutions for constitutional concerns. I use his quiz in my classes and my private practice.” Yvette Chass, OT
Valerie Ann Worwood described "oil personalities" that can be understood as constitutional dispositions. Holistic approaches to health care focus on the unique qualities of the individual rather than seeking diagnosis and treatment of pathological conditions understood according to common symptoms.
