Hi, hope everyone is well, and feeling a little bit Spring-like this Monday! Could I ask for some advice re essential oils to use in a diffuser? To assist a friend who has recently taken on an extremely taxing and stressful new job, I have bought a little diffuser which plugs in to a lap-top computer USB - a little novely present, sort of. What would be the best choice of oil or two oils to make a blend?
She spends many hours (and nights!) researching and learning stuff on line, it needs to be something whiich may be calming, reassuring but uplifting at the same time and an aid to clear thinking. A big ask for Aromatherapy you could say!!
Any suggestions most welcomed

Hi there
Depends what kind of smells she likes but Lavender is always a good bet if you need something uplifting and relaxing at the same time. Then, if she likes citrus, I'd add Bergamot which is calming without sending her to sleep.
Alternatively, if she needs something deeper to aid concentration try Frankincense which works well with either Lavender or Bergamot.
Personally I've always found Lavender and Rosemary a good study combination. Rosemary aids focus but some people find it too stimulating so I'd just start with a single drop and see how it goes.
Hope that helps.
Thank you so much for that, Jinx, very helpful. I was thinking lavender, as I often use a little in a burner when doing a reflexology treatment, and the effect is lovely, soo calming - but can make the client a little drowsy, I think lol......blending with bergamot
sounds a good plan. x
Lavender is always lovely. Two of my favourites for room scents are geranium and orange, and rosemary and lemon.
Citrusy oils are good for both relaxing when stressed and uplifting. Rosemary is good for both concentration and memory. Geranium balances and calms.

Whoops - sorry! Still finding my way around the revised forum.....
Thanks for your reply Rachelreflex. Really good to hear what these oils can help with. The only thing I'm not sure of is how many drops of oil in the diffuser? Would 2 drops of each essential oil (as a blend) be about right, do you think. It is only a small diffuser.
