Hello,

I have a suspected Morton's Neuroma and I'm looking in to ways to help relieve it. I've been doing a little research and been reading that acupuncture is very beneficial. Has anyone treated or been treated to morton's neuroma with acupuncture.

Would love to hear any advice

Thankyou

Helen

Hi Helen

I've not treaten this actual condition, but localised pain of this type often responds well to electro-acupuncture, which works a little like TENS. You'd probably need afew treatments to find out whether it would help. Needle insertion can be a bit hurty in this area, but a skilled acupuncturist should be able to minimise any discomfort.

Best wishes for a speedy recivery
David

To update my last post, I have since treated a woman with this problem, although her main reason for coming was stress related IBS. She has had a successful course of treatment, and is now symptom free. Interestingly one of the main points used to free up the flow of restricted qi associated with frustration and anger (which this woman had in spades) is exactly in the main area affected by Moreton's neuroma. She also had pain in specific areas of the feet linked to previous injuries, also successfully alleviated.

Hope that helps
