Hi All, just wondering if anyone else has tried the Yantra Mat (works on the acupressure principle I think). ? Have found a thread from about 18 months ago in which Star_Dust was asking this. She bought one and tried it and her opinion of it was good, reporting back after one week of trying it. Would love to hear from anyone who has used it for some while..
Like Star_Dust said at the time, I'm particularly interested in its possible effects on sleep - any improvement would be worth trying!!
Warm wishes
A.T
I suffer from terrible insomnia after being on and off prednispolone for the past few months (asthma/chest infections). I read about the yantra mat on a Saturday afternoon and it's effects on sleep and rushed out and bought one at 5.25pm, just before the shops shut-I was that desperate!
To be honest, neither I nor my shuband was expecting it to live up to the rave reviews. The first night I lay on it for the recommended 10 mins and it was fine, took a bit of getting used to. I wasn't immediately sleepy bu an hour later I could barely keep my eyes open. I went to bed at 9pm and slept through-unheard of for me. SInce then, I've read the instructions more closely and now use it in the half hour-hour before I go to bed. Ive falled asleep on it a few times. Its been wonderful for me, really helped me sleep again. I do find that if I'm on it for 45 mins to 1hr, when I get up I am like the energiser bunny, so I don't do that at night now! I have found it to be very effective. Good luck with your research.:)
Thanks for your reply Carmencita. And good to hear that the Yantra mat worked so well for your insomnia! Might have to dig out the Newspaper offer (I think it was the Daily Express) where the yantra mat was given a glowing endorsement by Linda Nolan. Of course, it would be ordered and sent by post. I did a search to see if I could buy the mat at a shop in or around my area (Hertfordshire) - but no-one seemed to stock it - Holland and Barret did not have it.
Anyway - I'm encouraged to get hold of one!!
