has any body any idea why someone with sinusitus would be suffering from toothache? I am doing an acupressure paper and finding this one tough to work out.
many thanks:)

Hi ya HS

Sinusitis and toothache can be related to the Large Intestine (ie LI 4) and Stomach meridian.

From a foot reflexology point of view, the toes cover both sinus and teeth reflexes. The (Chinese) Stomach meridian terminates in toes 2 & 3. Interesting crossover with the two systems.

Also, the face has a lot of innervation. The 5th (Trigeminal) and 7th (Facial)cranial nerves may be inflammed. A&P isn't my strong point.

What is this course you are studying, as a matter of interest?

Cheers

Hi ya Hi Spirits

I was wondering about whether you are studying via correspondance by the way you format your questions.

Reiki is really easy to use with acupressure and has the benefit of balancing the Qi (chi) naturally without so much interference by the practitioner.

I like to think of acupressure as "fingertip medicine", and I got into it by studying Reiki, Reflexology, Massage & Qigong and trying to connect all these subjects together. There is so much I personally don't know about acupressure, so I find replying to you and others as a way of consolidating my knowledge and practice.

Ultimately it's all about the intention to heal and communicate loving kindness to others.

Best Wishes

RP

Can really only answer from my own experience of having had sinusitus and toothache. The doctor said it was pressure of the sinus being blocked and basically making my teeth ache. Once my sinus cleared up my teeth were fine. Expect you'll get more advice from somone who has more experience of this from a professional point of view.

Hi ya

I work at a clinic and mobile.

As you can see from Hallos' and Serenwen's post, the interconnection of the sinuses and teeth, which reinforces the Chinese meridian and reflexology theories together.
