Hi all ,was wondering if anyone could tell me which accu.[meridian] point is on the big toe , right in centre where toe nail bed is?
Hi Star99
The big toe has two meridians, on the lateral (inside) is the Liver meridian (acu-point Liv 1) and on the Medial (outside) is the Spleen meridian (acu-point Sp1). Hope this is of use to you.
Best Wishes

REIKI PIXI,
Thanks for that but while working on a client [reflexology] today, his big toe where it meets the nail in the centre was so painful I had to leave of it and was same on both feet.I thought there was a meridian point here,:(
Hi Star 99
That's an interesting one. Well tender points doesn't necessary have to be on meridians. In TCM, points like this are often described as "Ashi" translated in English as "Ouch". Ashi points can be also termed "Trigger Points".
Anycase, it just be a localised problem and just a sensitive client. Today I treated somone with quite a similar issue with thai style reflexology. She claimed that she has always had tenderness on the dorsal aspect of the big toe when pressed, and so does her mother.
Sometimes we can never put our finger on why someone has discomfort on the foot. I think that both the reflexologist (I've been doing it since 1997) and the client can have too high an expectation of so called meanings of the reflex points. Talking of reflex zones, prehaps your client suffers from face ache (that's a joke before anyone complains)!
